Good Carlton Kids/guys with 6-7 seasons left:

Sheehan
White
Docherty
Rowe
Cripps
Bell
Graham
Yarran
Menzel
Casboult
Henderson

Guys like Thomas, Everitt, Jamison, Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer have plenty of footy left.

Who knows with recruits like Smith,
Dion-Rainbow, Jansck, Whiley, Boekhurst?

Way above bottom shockers like Saints, Dees, Dogs IMO.

I pissed myself laughing with 18

No chance.

How could a reasonable person think otherwise?

I was implying that if they 'underperform' again perhaps they are not underperforming but are simply no good.
What then?
Crows have far too many passengers, they won't make the 8 this year or next.

I don't want to derail the thread (you're welcome to PM me to continue further) but I dare say they had the only opportunity to get rid of him - if no guilty verdict comes the support for him is too strong.

We'll have to agree to disagree.
FWIW, if normal programming resumes I think Bombers are a lock for top 8.

Menzel, Cripps, Graham, Buckley, Boekhorst, Holman, Docherty I think will become decent players

Jaksch and Giles coming off interrupted starts have high hopes too same with Whiley, think will be good replacement for few mids who recently left like McLean & Robinson

Clem Smith highly rated same with DVR

All those dogs players other than Libba and maybe Stringer unproven
Wow, that is embarrassing.

Wow, that is embarrassing.

What's so embarrassing?
Nick Graham has plenty of upside and Docherty good ball user out of defense and Menzel is doing special things in attack

Don't listen to that Jade guy just b/c he thinks Blues youngsters are no good when plenty to be excited about

Docherty is probably the worst ball user you guys have. The amount of games he lost for your mob last year was horrendous.

Giles has been injured but highly rated junior. Holman and Nick Graham have played few games

Obviously you don't watch many Blues games, prob coz uve never been out of South Australia

Graham will be a gun!
Not many of them have been mate! :D

But on a serious note I actually do like Graham. He's one of your young guys that I think could actually make a good career for himself.

My dad's a Carlton supporter and he can't stand Docherty's kicking. He just boots it high and long and often erratically. Which is rather amusing considering he was drafted as 'one of the best kicks' in his draft class.

fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion.

Although, I think most would agree that the crows have been under-performing in recent seasons. 10th and 11th is not an ok job.

I think we will surprise a few this season. We will be firmly entrenched in the 8. definitely won't be 17th. no chance of that happening.
David wildy is that you, your range is somewhere between 6th and 13th, by no means are you a lock for the 8.

God damn it... Still last :(

Because Carlton is just as bad as those three teams, except much older and without the star junior prospects and looking to slide further
I guess supporters of those three clubs need to keep thinking positive every Year
Mate, only ASADA completing wiping out Essendon would make them ANY chance of finishing below Carlton. Christ, even then with the 24 players we had left I'd still give us some chance of finishing above the Blues.

Now I want to be clear, that isn't mindless chest beating or exaggeration. We are at the very least a pretty decent side - Carlton are rubbish.

As for the Saints, Dogs and Demons - certainly wouldn't rule out the Blues finishing above them. The deciding factor for me is the very obvious and deliberate by all of those clubs to rebuild. Carlton (aside from drafting the par kids) have made no such efforts. Your list is putrid, absolutely putrid. And your coach is an egotistical has-been that refuses to admit his time in the game is done.

You are in for hurt mate.
I bet you still believe in Santa Claus .

No there's not, really. Not when you compare to other teams like the bulldogs, who you are trying to.

I compare to comp as a whole, lists turn over a lot over a period 3-4 years so have to have faith in recruiting and coaching and development staff that can elevate these kids to become next AFL elite talent compared to rest of the comp

Not saying will be future elite players, hard work needs to go into it and commitment and luck too

Then you have nothing but faith.

On all exposed evidence Carlton has the worst list in the league. It has recruited poorly, meaning its list lacks the talent of most, if not all the other squads in the league.
