Cause he knows the Crows are going to draft him, they did speak to him 3 times after all.Kid in the Geelong jumper looks utterly miserable.

You need to get in on the ground floor at GWS. SOS is obviously in a few ears but the Blues cannot afford them all. Fruit to had there IMO.What I find interesting is after putting thought into the Danger deal, which is seriously unlikely to mature, what is the plan B? If it turns out to be "uh, let's get Milkshakes and then ... uh ... dunno really" then I'm going to be somewhat disappointed
Listen to his B&F speech. He wants to start a family in Moggs.I hope the club has spoken to Dangerfield about provisions for letting him visit Geelong, as needed. I doubt he'd want to do a 70k+ commute each way each day so he probably wouldn't live there, but if there are any other arrangements we could allow for it would be negligent to not have discussed them.

Front load contract heavily, piss of Dawes, Howe, and Lumumba (and Garland if needed), and there isn't anyone else on our list barring the captain and Hogan making more than $400k per year. Then continue to cut blokes like Matt Jones and Dean Terlich who were being given stupid contracts to reach the salary cap floor. About half our list is younger than 23, and the players in the 22-28 bracket are largely useless. Not sure why Melbourne would be happy with 1.6million a year for six years if it was true. No one is worth that, if Geelong were considering something like that I would be furious, no one wins premierships with one star and giving the rest of the team scraps, premiership lists bat deep.

At the age of 10?Cause he knows the Crows are going to draft him, they did speak to him 3 times after all.
I'm kidding silly billyAt the age of 10?

See Danger. You don't want to go to a deceptive, misleading club like the Cats.I'm kidding silly billy
Hogan won't be anywhere near 400k yet.Front load contract heavily, piss of Dawes, Howe, and Lumumba (and Garland if needed), and there isn't anyone else on our list barring the captain and Hogan making more than $400k per year. Yeah but I've been doing his laundryHogan won't be anywhere near 400k yet.
There's a Mitch Clark/James Frawley/Jeremy Howe shaped contract in our salary cap. Create a bit more with Dawes and Garland and Lumumba plus increase TPP from 95% to 105% (a $1M difference) and I reckon we could be paying Danger up to $2.5M a year in the next two years and then $1M for the four after that even with the drastic increase in Hogan's and Jones' contracts. Viney, Salem, and Hogan are contracted until 2017, and Brayshaw, Gawn, and Petracca until 2018. Jones and Vince aren't going anywhere. Almost everyone else is expendable when you have a player like Dangerfield on the line, and the only players of real note coming out of contract in 2016 are Jetta, Kent, and Tom McDonald. If Dangerfield takes us to the finals in 2016 or 2017 they will all stay even if they're not getting paid huge money. It would take some big front loading to get the later years down to a respectable million, but thanks for the good reply, I guess its plausible then.
As of the next contract year (when it's relevant to Dangerfield) he will be making $500k per year.Hogan won't be anywhere near 400k yet.
There's no way he's on a deal that big. Surely we didn't give a kid who hadn't played a game with a crook back that kind of deal?As of the next contract year (when it's relevant to Dangerfield) he will be making $500k per year.
Accompanied by a qualified hypnotist. You know how the Cats sent over a whole delegation to Adelaide?
I demand we just send Hoges over for a chat at the Brownlow tonight.

Would be ridiculous for him to turn down $5M in the next two years if we could front load that heavily, but then again I imagine that when you're making more than $1M the difference between say $2M and $5M isn't actually that great if you're planning on living a certain lifestyle in Geelong and settling down with family.Surely, surely we have room in the cap to pay Dangerfield whatever he wants! But that is not the concern here. He simply does not want to play for us. But every man has his price. I wonder what his is? Would he still say no to 2 million a year?? Surely not! And if he does knock that back, good luck to him, but like Ablett, Scully etc, they all have a price that is too good to refuse no matter what their intentions are at the time. As genuine as Dangerfield appears, I have no doubt there is a figure he would accept to play for the Dees. Having said that though, how far do we go before it does actually affect us long term? The fact is, we have probably two players who should be on $500,000 or more right now. Vince and Jones. All our really good young players are tied up until the end of 2017. So we must surely have a truckload of cash to unload on whoever we chase. That is probably why we are offering silly $ to Milkshakes! I wouldn't be surprised at all if we have offered Danger 1.6 mil a year.
