Freo?Good luck getting Lecras to accept the trade away. Particularly if he's still playing good footy. WA born and bred. The only way we could get him to leave was if he couldn't get a longer contract and needed a fresh start ala Lynchy

Taking a required player out of our forward line just means we have to recruit a new forward as well as recruit for the midfield, which is our current weakness.
Any player is tradable for the right price, I just think a late first rounder for LeCras is unders. Would need a player and a pick.
Again, LeCras will be 29 this year. Trading him for a first-rounder is hardly a 'desperate gamble'.
I think that covers it.I would definitely trade LeCras for a pick in the high 10's to low 20's... but what teams do you think would offer that for a medium forward with perhaps 3 years left on the outside? It'd have to be someone who's challenging now
Overpaying.Trade
Coniglio for 1st rounder
Tom Mitchell for 2nd rounder
I disagree mate, our spine is very strong(when injury free) add some mids and development through some of the kids Duggan sheed lamb nelson newman etc we'll be around the mark. Both sydney and hawthorn have won premierships with lists with a lot of recycled players I would target tom mitchel,Kane mitchel,Chris yarran Brandon matera think all would strengthen our team and complement the youth coming through and are realistic gets interested to hear people's thoughtsSure. That's the hard part.
My point is that he'd be tradeable for the right price.
So what?
Or a crack at winning a flag?
Hard to see him getting one at WC.
What do you mean by 'add some mids'?I disagree mate, our spine is very strong(when injury free) add some mids and development through some of the kids Duggan sheed lamb nelson newman etc we'll be around the mark.

No I'm not, I'm saying adding mature midfielders that are lacking opportunity at clubs with deep midfields along with development in the youth we would be around the mark and challenging then lecras might end up with a flag before his time is up I wouldn't trade himWhat do you mean by 'add some mids'?
Are you basically saying we could challenge next year?
Which mature midfielders are you talking about? No I'm not, I'm saying adding mature midfielders that are lacking opportunity at clubs with deep midfields along with development in the youth we would be around the mark and challenging then lecras might end up with a flag before his time is up I wouldn't trade him
Some kind of explanation of what your previous post means. And what else do you need???
Which mature midfielders are you talking about?
I'm not criticising you for your optimism but I personally don't see it turning around that quickly.
The ones I named in my first post players like tom mitchel,Kane mitchel would add to the midfield, port Adelaide were on their knees a couple years ago and are now challenging think if we can address our midfield issues it can be turned around reasonably quicklyWhich mature midfielders are you talking about?

Freo?
When is the last time we traded with each other? Why would we give them such a weapon like Lecras?
I think that covers it.
Hawthorn might say they already have Breust, so no thanks. But Hawks aside, he'd add something to any team currently challenging.
I'm not sure Tom Mitchell and Kane Mitchell would really do the job, would they? The ones I named in my first post players like tom mitchel,Kane mitchel would add to the midfield, port Adelaide were on their knees a couple years ago and are now challenging think if we can address our midfield issues it can be turned around reasonably quickly
Look at the way St Kilda and Dal Santo parted company.I certainly agree with your reasoning for this suggestion but it seems so unlikely to me that it's almost not worth discussing. Lecca has become a bit of a 'favourite son' over the years and on top of that is very marketable, it would be very out of character for us.
