It's hard yo say 5 is fair, if he chooses Dogs they get about 12 or Blues it can only be 20 their not going to give 1

I might not have worded it well.

He was asked: "if Jake nominates Saints will you ask for pick 5?"

He replied: "I think that's fair for say".

He then went on to pump up Jakes tyres. Said you don't find blokes that take 19 marks down back one week then kick 8 goals up forward a week later. He also said you don't find key backs that can play on the best forward at pick 4, 5 or 6....at 1 yes...wrt Weitering.

Of course he'll say that. What he asks and what he gets...

Just got a question. People seem happy to give nest years 2nd rounder for Freeman but not this years. Is it we just want to think he cost us nothing this year because I cant see the logic myself. It will still cost a second rounder which we have no idea what pick that will be and we could be passing up a much better player than this year as this years draft is said to be really shallow. I would only be using future picks when a club require more than one pick for a player otherwise I would be using the current year. I know some want to keep this years 2nd rounder for Carlisle but I honestly cant see that being enough and I cant see a reasonably good player to add to make it better.
A few reasons I say next years second is the best...
1. Pick 5 is sacrosanct and we wont be trading it for Carlisle.
2. We need to keep this years second rounder for Carlisle.
3. Next years second rounder may be tempting for GWS in the Treloar deal to Pies to get enough points for their high academy kids.

And the fact that he is out of contract and facing a possible ban.

Does anyone know when Carlisle is expected to nominate a club? He's coming back from OS this week I know but will he nominate when trade week begins or before? The suspense is killing me!!

Just to answer from my prospective p66, I mooted next years 2nd because there's a bit of toss the boss about it. Could be good (say20ish) could be bad (say 30ish) and hence exactly what Freeman is; may come good, may not. Reckon the Pies might swallow it better too, and keeps 2 if say needed anywhere else. Aahhhem

lets not go overboard, he didn't break any contract, and if you want to lay bhthere was lame, lame blame equally at our Board for
a: not looking after out list better &
b: not signing him earlier

he left but didn't break any contract by doing so

he had a contract
For those who question me, my sources are, without giving any specifics, a club doctor, a different clubs treasurer and my good friend who's a big time manager

Dear Loading, please do not supply us with info if it will compromise the club, or any of their employees.

otherwise go for it.

Are these blokes ON the Couch on drugs?

Blaming Freeman for leaving after two years and demanding the minimum contract is four years.

They will have a restraint of trade slapped on them before they can blink and the whole fraft will collapse.

Idiots, didn;t say a word when Cripps left after two years.

Adam Kingsley has won the Assistant Coach of the year award and Danny Sexton came 2nd in the AFLCA Awards. That's so positive for trades I reckon. Richo is already highly regarded across the AFL but to have positive recognition across the board is great. A positive environment to come into. :D:rainbow:

I wonder if any of Ross's assistants got some accolades?:fire:;):D
