I'm alright, just impatient. Anyway it's alright for you -hidden away from Melbourne where your friends drop by with baguettes and bordeaux for breakfast and talk about the price of frogs legs. We are at the coal face here in Melbourne where you talk footy and don't get to see footy. It's a pressure cooker man.

They're talking about Jake being late to training so the boys had to start earlier the next day. I would have thought that fact that a motor cyclist was killed on city link and he had to go a different way is bigger news than him actually being late.
Don't be silly, motorcyclists die every day.

Jake Carlisle late to training? What a scoop!

Final draft order released by AFL.

Can anyone tell me why we don't keep our 5th round pick in the order?

If we match a bid for Rice that uses our 3rd and 4th surely our 5th rounder would then be higher than our 4th which gets moved to the back of the draft.

We only have 3 senior list spots available so only our first 3 live picks come into the draft.

I see where you are coming from but it's a loop hole that can't be exploited it seems.

Don't be silly. Some context would ruin the story.

Looking forward to the Freeman injected midfield with Acres leaping to reach his huge potential.

But he didn't come from Essendon...

Nothing I am hearing changes my theory that Carlisle doesn't care about anything but a pay cheque. I would have thought if you had disrespected our club to the level you would want to be the first to training. Without exception for the rest of the pre-season. That is what a bloke who is committed to proving he is not the tool he appears to be, would ensure that they get done. Would that really be too much to ask from the $700K man?

To be clear I am not disputing that an accident was the main reason for him being late, my point is it shouldn't even be a possibility. He should be just about living at the club in my opinion. How many other players were late as a matter of interest?

I expect to get slammed for this post, but part of me knows that some of you are surely having concerns about this trade. Whether you admit it to yourselves or not. We have had a lot of stability at the club throughout the rebuild thus far, until now. I honestly really hope I am dead wrong on Carlisle, but there are warning signs everywhere. You can't get by on talent alone in this league.

"I'm right, and you guys know I'm right, and I know that you guys know I'm right, even though you can't admit that you know I'm right. To yourselves. Or to me."

Gee mate, can't think why you would expect to get slammed for that. Seems perfectly reasonable.

He's the only one who lives in the northern suburbs, what was he meant to do? Turn his car into a helicopter? I had friends who were 90 mins late to work that day, Jake was less than 5 mins late.
My problem is with the guy who decided to kill himself at that time of day, how inconsiderate of him.

HE SHOULD HAVE LEFT HOME 6 HOURS BEFORE TRAINING STARTED TO MAKE SURE HE GOT THERE FIRST! HES CLEARLY NOT COMMITTED TO THE TEAM AND IS A WORTHLESS HUMAN BEING! THE CLUB IS A BASKETCASE AND AMEET IS SATAN!

Is this a joke?

I base my life on CLint Eastwoods character in gran Torino

lol I was thinking just that... seriously. :)

In other news...

what a day full of ironical or should that be paradoxical banter?

For the sake of the exercise, let's call them the believers and the non-believers.

The non-believers come on here expressing their non-beliefs and complain about how the believers are blind followers and spin everything in a positive manner.

when the believers reply, the non-believers decry that they are being abused and shot down by the believers for having beliefs that are contrarian to their non-beliefs.

So far so good...

So the non-believers basically don't agree with the believers and don't like the believers espousing their rosy and optimistic beliefs... because they just don't believe them.

And here's the irony...

The non-believers demand to be heard and to have their non-beliefs respected and / or agreed with. And yet they abuse the believers for not agreeing with them, whilst at the same time getting upset because they believe the believers do that same abuse to them (the non-believers).

It's like listening to Christians arguing with Atheists about each other imposing their views on each other.

Carry on...

The defensiveness to anything Carlisle related further illustrates my point.
