Jenkins is Petrie mark II. Beats up on the weaker teams and boosts his numbers but can be completely shutout by a decent defender.Any thought on Josh Jenkins? Would be 26 next year.

Dixon is an outright gun although can be rather injury prone.Jenkins is Petrie mark II. Beats up on the weaker teams and boosts his numbers but can be completely shutout by a decent defender.
As far as KPF go Walker is the obvious one, after that I would probably go Riewoldt but both of those guys love their club and would be unlikely to move.
I reckon our best bet though is to target one of the Dixon/Lynch from the GC. Could offer them a big contract without then having to relocate too far.

Was not thrilled to head to Brisbane when he was drafted with pick No. 7

but, like Ollie Wines at Port, Aish has grown to love the place.

Wasn't him and his manager in contract negotiations a few weeks back?
Definately a selling point as well as the weather.I think we need to target players who we think might want to get out of the fishbowl. It might be a good way to get them interested at least.
Is it ever too early to look forward. I don't think so and especially with where we sit currently. It is evident where our needs are in relation to plugging the gaps within our team. The current problem is where the mids age is at in comparison to our KPP's. My one and only concern is that we again have to use our high end draft picks to bring quality players in. I wasn't overly concerned this year as we brought in 7 draftees last year which look like that they will bring something to the team. We still need to be bringing in quality youngsters.
As others have noted Walker should be a target and irrespective of what he thinks about the AFC or free agency it is quite evident that money talks and makes people walk. Darling has been spoken about as another but at what cost, is he pick in the 20's or do we need to generate a pick in the teens? I feel
we will have a pick under 10.
What about down back, I think Rance is entrenched in the Melbourne football scene. But we also do need an addition down back. Birchall is that quality ball user off half back we need.
Most would say that the mids are not a concern but I would like to think that Jack Stevens would be one to look at. One of our strengths is speed (who would have thought a few years ago) and he definitely would add to that and he is a free agent. I don't think that it would take much to pry him from St K as they are interested in generating early draft picks.
In summary, let's utilise free agency as best as we can whilst it is in it's current form. Keep our first rounder and again draft a quality youngster. Tell everyone that we won't be using our second rounder on Keays (will go third round) and use that to possibly trade.
Might be a long bow, but I wonder if asadagate has helped us a little bit in that "fishbowl" regard, and players are as burnt out by the intense media coverage as the fans are...?Definately a selling point as well as the weather.
