Yarran had good season but not enough to be a-grader just yet
Might not be their just yet but improvement is there

I know everyone has their own opinions and such, but your opinion is objectively wrong. Jones can walk into any team and be in their top 3 players, if not their best. There are only a few players that can carry a team like he can. Easily in the top 20 midfielders.

Unless I'm wrong, 15+1 =16. So technically, according to your flawless logic, Jones is A grade.

FWIW, I think Jones is genuine A grade, any other team and he'd be talked up heaps more, but because of Melbourne's lack of success in the last few years, his accolades have been downplayed.

In fact he was ranked 2nd for disposals in the regular season, not 11th.

2nd in the league. And he's not A grade.

Don't listen to him.

Jones is easily an A grade player. Has carried the midfield for years.

Hopefully that changes and he's not left as the lone wolf as he deserves some success.

Champion Data rates 57 players in the comp as Elite: That's the top 10% out of approximately 570 players league wide, who have played 10 senior games or more!

FWIW....Only Yarran & Simpson are graded as 'Elite' (A Grade) in the general defensive category; Whereas, all of Judd, Murphy & Gibbs are rated as 'above average' (B grade) in the midfielders category on a league-wide comparison!

At times it can be easier to win in a middle of the road team that wins enough games as so to pick up votes and also has very few players who will 'pinch' votes. Priddis and Judd the two recent examples.
