The old "5 on the bench" trick eh? Reckon the umpires and opposition would notice? :D

West Coast Eagles 2016
Wellingham Brown Scofield
Sheppard Mckenzie Hurn
Gaff Redden Darling
Jetta McGovern Yeo
Cripps Kennedy Lecras
Natanui Shuey Priddis

Bench- Lycett-masten-Duggan-Sheed

Jetta needs to play forward, create that live wire who can crumb and hit up targets with great Kicking skills. Darling with a pre season moves up to a wing. I think lycetts best is hard to keep out the team.

FB Hurn Mackenzie Nelson
HB Wellingham Schofield Sheppard
C Masten Priddis Gaff
HF Jetta Mcgovern Lecras
FF Darling Kennedy Cripps
R Nicnat Shuey Sheed

I Lycett Yeo Redden Duggan

E Butler Ellis Rosa Brown Hill Lamb Barass Mcinnes Hutchings Bennell Sinclair

33 AFL quality players who could play a role in a premiership side imo with a very strong best 22. (cavka will likely be injured and not ready and im really worried about muddy and his severe case of glandular fever as some people never come back from it and even if he does next year will be like his first year on an afl list)

Jeez so many good depth. I would out Nelson for ellis. Masten for rosa.

Getting Redden and Jetta would give us good depth. We'd still lack some top-line talent but would have a pretty solid midfield.

Solid maybe but Wallace was right in his assessment that we have far too many outside runners. To match it was the toughest of the tough in the comp we need some really hard bodied inside mids.

If we had to pick one on wing who would we? Rosa or masten. After the Hawks games ages ago I would say rosa. He's got such a big strength. He's can play inside outside and halfback.

Would be nice. But I think Priddis, Yeo, Redden and Sheed would be ok without being outstanding.

B Hurn Emac Wellingham

C Jetta Priddis Gaff

I Lycett Redden Sheed one of Hill/Butler/Rosa/Ellis

Adding Jetta, Redden and a fully fit Duggan, Emac and Lycett simply mkae our bottom 6 players a lot stronger.

We are a lot more flexible all over the ground and have a lot more weapons and no real weaknesses overall.

We haven't had this depth for quite some time. Hopefully with a fit list next year there will be lots of competition for spots putting us into a real professional era. Players will have to really commit themselves.

We know 2015s list was good enough to make a GF.

Will it be good enough to win one next year?

Solid maybe but Wallace was right in his assessment that we have far too many outside runners. To match it was the toughest of the tough in the comp we need some really hard bodied inside mids.

Outside runners are fine. Outside runners who are not damaging are not.

Everyone used to blame Priddis for our midfield woes but I think recent results begin to show its not Priddis who was the problem.

Replace our positionless, low damage outside runners and we become a far better side.

B: Hurn Emac Butler
HB: Wellingham Schofield Sheppard
C: Yeo Priddis Gaff
HF: Jetta McGovern Darling
F: Cripps Kennedy Hill
R: NaitanuiShuey Redden
I: Duggan, LeCras, Sheed, Masten

Perfect world Naitanui avoids injury troubles and can ruck 75% game time. Gov to fill the other 25% and Darling to move to CHF when he is out

I think with the flexibility we could have next year, and the supposed lack of inside muscle we should be looking to give Hurn some more midfield minutes, possibly hitting packs with a bit of speed here and there from half back and also starting at the bounce every so often. He can crack open a few packs and provide that big strong inside body. The big bonus wpuld be his kicking forward of center. Free space means JK gets hit 35m out on the tit with a bullet. A rushed kick out of the pack doesn't land at the arc and get promptly rebounded ala Pridda, instead it lands 15m out right in front.

Add Redden Jetta Duggan Emac Lycett to the team that made the grand final and push out players like Hutchings Rosa Butler Sinclair Ellis Hill and we are heading in the right direction.
