He was involved in the Paul Seedsman trade. Basically got him for a 3 pick downgrade and a bunch of later picks.

Adelaide received Seedsman and gave up pick No.32;
- Collingwood received Howe and pick No.68 and gave up Seedsman and Kennedy;
- Melbourne received Kennedy and picks No.29 and 50 and gave up Howe and Toumpas;
- Port Adelaide received Toumpas and pick No.32 and gave up picks No.29, 50 and 68;

Pick 32 ended up being pushed down to 37 for Riley Boner.
Stop! My brain hurts!

Id have hombsch in our side over hartigan.
Boak over lyons
R.Gray over cameron
Wingard over mackay
And think about ebert over seedsman
Wines has been pretty poor so far this year
No way Ebert over Seedsman. 2 completely different players for one.

Wines over M Crouch.
Ebert over Mackay
Pittard lineball with Claude the Crow.

I read earlier that Port are close the top of their salary cap, is that really true? How many elite players from their list make it on the Hawthorn or Sydney lists?

Senior list;
Boak
Neade
Ryder
Broadbent
Monfries
Ebert
Hartlett
Gray
Butcher
Trengove
O'Shea
Stewart
Amon
Wines
Clurey
Toumpas
White
Wingard
Polec
Dixon
Lobbe
Impey
Austin
Bonner
Carlile
Schulz
Pittard
Colquoun
Johnson
Byrne-Jones
Hombsh
Palmer
Frampton
Westhoff
Young
AhChee
Jonas
Gray
Krakouer
Port were around 105% of the salary cap, but now have some relief not paying for Ryder or monfries.

They have been paying significant overs to become a destination club. ;)

I cast out a fishing rod with a ten dollar note near Tippo the other day, you should of seen him chase then.
Doubt it, as he doesn't move for anything less than hundred dollar notes! ;)

What Ruckman who has retired in the last two seasons (as per the rules Essendon had for top ups) would make a difference at Port right now? Bear in mind Jamar was already coaching at Essendon and is yet to play for them this year.

The top up debate was Kochie grandstanding. The reality is that the player they would have got had been passed over by all 18 clubs at each of the drafts and if he played a game Port would be in trouble anyway.

Was Angus Graham available?

I am pretty sure I heard someone that they were going to sign Baulderstone from Norwood if they got a top up player

I'd of tipped Richmond originally, but with Rance out I'll go for Port. I imagine they may think about bringing Howard/Butcher back and really try to stretch the Tigers who are missing a couple of key talls and exploit Dixon on Troy Chaplin or something like that. Keep Neade inside 50 to pick up the crumbs and hope they look to double a tall and leave Wingard on a lesser defender or open by himself. Of course that will need the midfield to get some fast delivery from the middle, but on paper they should be able to match up with the Tigers mids.

All good points but unless someone in the media mentions this, especially On the Couch, Hinkley would have no idea. They just need to try harder!

This is a real issue no one in the media apart from Warren Partland will touch. The way The Magpies were lied to, sold out and betrayed was nothing short of a disgrace and something that does far more to dishonour their great history than honour it. That that great club and jersey is bastardised into a reserves team is unbelievable. There's many SANFL club directors that think the Power reserves should be made to wear Power jerseys.

Wasn't the real underlying reason behind the Magpies being brought back into the fold (as the AFL Reserves), in order to get the assets of such things as the Prince of Wales Hotel plus 33? pokie licences.

Here's another one for you. How many of our SANFL team get into Port's firsts?

If they had the following available, they'd get a call up next week:

Greenwood over Amon
CEY for Toumpas
Henderson for O'Shea
Van Berlo for Byrne-Jones
Knight for Neade
Gore for Gray
Menzel for Stewart

edit: That would actually be a very, very decent team.

That's workplace bullying

Problem is I don't know who would complain

Papley got the RS nod. Pretty decent game against the Weagles.

I would have thought Darcy Two-Dads would have gone close with 26

Good idea, Clarko will get in to a fight and hopefully the umps jump in to help(again) and they all get locked up for the year.... Problem solved.
