Seems they will stand behind anything, the buddy free was ridiculous.
Be nice if they actually played some of the ones that were actually an issue other then a 50-50 maybe throw HTB.

Shocking...

I dont mind this program but you will never get them to admit that a decision was wrong. There will always be an argument as to why the umpire made the correct call. There would have been so many decisions they could have looked at from our game but they chose the only one that had weight behind it. Case in point being the ball up in Port/Geelong when everyone thought it was out of bounds cos some Paer flog brought a whistle with him. Wow, the ump made a sensible common-sense call, pats on the back all round.

Also, I thought a quarter was only over when an umpire signals it, not when the siren is heard?

Time we had umpires from neutral states umpiring games. Nothing will change until we do. If umpires grow up in Victoria supporting teams then those teams are their tribes unto death. How can these people possibly not be biased, whether that bias is a conscious or unconscious thing?

What's the rumour at port?
Who has dipped the pen in company ink?
I believe this is a press release from one of the players on the matter

So I guess the fortune teller's right
I should have seen just what was there
And not some holy light
But you crawled beneath my veins
And now I don't care
I have no luck
I don't miss it all that much
There's just so many things
That I can't touch

I'm torn
I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I'm shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see the perfect sky is torn
You're a little late
I'm already torn

He grabbed the ball out of the air, brought it to his chest and started to act like he couldn't get the ball out because he was wrapped up, before he was even wrapped up and it's not holding the ball?

That's pretty disgraceful. Absolutely nothing we can do about it though. AFL is not a democracy.

I blame Port for neutering the SANFL's bargaining power before the Crows entered into the AFL, that bargaining power could have been used to force the AFL to make changes to make it more of a national competition, not a rebranded VFL.

He also said he had no prior, yet he has enough time to mime a handball.

His explanation defies logic, If he just said the umpire couldn't see the fake handball and didn't think he had prior I would be fine with it. But this such a bullshit excuse. Nat asks why it's not prior and he just moves on to "making a genuine attempt" before he's even tackled.

Copyright law is far more complex than that. For example, you can't copyright the title of a film or play. Nor can you copyright the name of a character in a play, film or book. I doubt Dash Brothers could be deemed copyright quite apart from the fact that two people may have independently thought of the term.
Attribution is polite though.
You are correct in that it is more complex, and in general names, titles etc are generally not covered by copyright. However, you are incorrect in stating that such things cannot be protected under copyright, no such exclusion exists under the Act. The test relies on the literary work being 'non-trivial', which fenerally excludes short works but not always.

My reference was more to the term 'coyrighted' which infers that there is a process of copyrighting something, like there is for trade marks, designs, patents etc. Of course such a process does not exist.

Voss never did an aprenticeship before taking on the Lions job.

Confidence is one thing, having relevant experience is an entirely different matter.

Port need experienced strategic assistants to compliment Hinkley.
Assistant coaches and senior assistants (directors of football or strategic assistants) seem to becoming more and more important as senior coaches are becoming more time poor.

I wonder how much the loss of Simon Lloyd from Fremantle has upset the apple cart and contributed to their current form.

I know there is no process for copyrighting, but the implication of your original post is that an action to claim THE DASH BROTHERS as copyright material could succeed and that the originator would own the term for 70 years following their demise.
This is wrong.
