Blakeys impersonation of Cassasi (dickheads advocate) this morning was a crack up.

So - one time in Port's history, Rucci wanted change.
He's also "pushed for change" and undermined our club constantly in that time.
And now? He's doing nothing but fiddling while Rome burns.
You have a ridiculously harsh view of the club. We were flag contenders for most of Craig's time, and innovators in the league. We had three or so down years - Tippett, off-field laziness and Sando - and then we were back as an improving power club again.
Yeah, you have no idea whether that's true.
As far as I'm concerned, Chapman has shown he's a person of substance over the last two years.
Only the part about how the AFL was wrong re the several games in the ANZAC round not fully honouring the ANZAC's.
what about the paps anthem - i'm sure kochhead would say that port won ww1 & 11 for our nations
Just putting it out there but is it possible Trigg brought out the worst in Chapman whereas Fagan brings out the best in him.Agree with this except the part about us being a "power" club. We haven't been a "power" club since the 90's. The only area that this club has excelled at is the size and loyalty of the supporterbase. However, in saying all that I'm loving where this current group are heading - aggression, skill, x-factor - bring it on.
The last two years, I haven't been this excited about the Crows since the 90's. We have alot to thank Fagan/Roo/Walshie and now Pyke for.

While there is a lot about us in this weeks touch of the fumbles - http://indaily.com.au/sport/touch-of-the-fumbles/2016/04/26/touch-of-the-fumbles-pleasure-and-pain/ There is a close look at Port and hilariously I didn't know that for every 2 kicks Dixon gets, he gives 1 away!
Also with the mention of the Ewing theory, I do wonder if Tom is like most AFL journalists and is a regular visit to the BF boards. If so, hi Tom!
Its sometimes a good starting point for a journalist to get talking points.
but not for them to "claim" they came up with an idea - I'm looking at you SEN about the Dash Brothers.
Chapman chose his personal reputation over a years worth of draft picks when Trigg threatened to bring the board down with him. His name doesn't belong in that sentence, he was there for a long time and did sweet FA.
Well the argument is the name isnt copywrited or trademarked. I think its good to see ideas come from our site for the world to see.
Tom, if you're reading this, feel free to make a comment about the size of Ollie Wines' melon in next week's column.but not for them to "claim" they came up with an idea - I'm looking at you SEN about the Dash Brothers.
But when the announcer says "I've come up with this" and in an aren't I clever? implying tone, then nope it's not an idea that is coming from the site for the world to see. There was no mention of BF but that it was all that announcer's idea. Now he might have, but it was kinda interesting that it happened a number of days after the thread was quite prominent on this forum. Credit where credit is due should be required because at the first chance they turn around and slam the 'cowardly keyboard warriors on nameless internet forums'.
Hows the "premiers 2016" thread going?I think the "Toast - Welcome Michael Voss" thread on the Port board is one of the funniest things I've ever read, a slow (well pretty fast actually) spiral from the heights of ecstasy to the depths of despair.
Well dont put stuff into a public forum you dont want stolen.
It was quite sobering for me after id laughed at someones comment about the crows taking money from the AFL and explained to him how we were one of the rich clubs, to actually be corrected and to realise how much our off field strength had diminished.I don't judge him on what he says about our club, he hates us as a Port man. He's not afraid to ask tough questions of his club and he'll ramp up if he feels that they're on the wrong path and they're not changing tack.
Trigg took over an AFL powerhouse and it ran it into an also ran. 3 years of "laziness" is a ridiculous claim, our downward financial trend spcompared to the rest of the comp was not a 3 year outlier. Craig had a couple of good years, having started with a bang, going 1, 2 in his first 2 years at end of minor round. But then he went 8,5,5,11,14,17 and in reality we were never really building anything, just plodding around driving to make the 8 and hoping that the cards fell our way. Off field was a disaster and you shouldn't let our current turnaround affect your view on the way the club performed under the Trigg regime. By the end of the Sando regime we'd played finals once in 6 years, the fabled Sando spike.
What's occurring now is great, we have a superb CEO who appears intent on success and is prepared to fight the good fight where necessary. I could barely be happier, but that doesn't change the past.

. With access to all the Port facilities and coaching staff, who do come out to assist at training, they were beaten 142 to 0. Things are not good for any Port team this season.

In my view if Chapman new what was happening the board also knew. Trigg threatening to bring the board down probably supports this as well.
Whilst we blame Chapman there also has to be an equal amount of blame directed at the board.
I think that whole saga in some way has pushed the club to what we are seeing today. Whilst it was a disaster at the time I do wonder at times where we would be if that hadn't happened....possibly plodding along with the same mediocre results.
Could be a blessing in disguise.
