When the President of your club makes it OK to take pot shot at the players, then I imagine that attitude is going to move downwards from there and to the fanbase too. All his criticisms accomplished was feeding his own ego and trying to make himself look like a big tough guy standing up to the players. It's fine if he wants to do that, but he should be doing it to their faces and not through the media. So much for his original promise that it wasn't going to be all about him, because it's ALL about him right now. Playing in China, their poor play, everything.

All clubs use terms like Crows footy or Swans footy but it all tends to mean the same thing, winning contested ball and backing each other up

Port have said it means "tough, brave" footy which is a bit meaningless beyond the usual

Bottom line is the port players are not running hard enough both ways nor playing team footy.

Something is seriously wrong & it's not an execution issue which Hinkley & co have been trying to brainwash everyone as being the problem.

A lot of these players would still remember playing in front of tarps at Aami. They aren't fooled by the new breed of Power supporter.

Guys like Boak and Trengove could have left for other clubs but stood by Port while it struggled. Now they are struggling they are being hung out to dry by the President and the fans.

Boak should have taken that offer from the Cats and if the fans at the time had a problem with it, told them to "harden up".

Apparently GWS have let go of their recruiters based in WA and SA, they have that much top end young talent they don't want/need anymore.

Staggering the amount of young talent they have plus another 5 of the top 25 picks in his years draft.

Would imagine they will be trading out picks for experienced players so they can have a real crack in 2017.

So the afl is trying to protect the players head given what we now know about concussion yet its okay to punch a guy in the face behind the play. It really has list direction and credibility.

Completely agree. Dunstall was trying to equate it with Ablett getting kneed - and frankly, that maybe should have gotten a game, but protecting the head is FAR more important.

sidenote: one of the geniuses across the way is bemoaning why they don't have the next Martin Leslie, Craig Bradley, Dave Granger, Gavin Wanganeen playing for them to fix their woes, cos 'they used to grow on trees'. SANFL mentality never really leaves them does it.

Maybe they should ask themselves - why did Voss sabotage Brisbane then? Maybe just maybe, he is just not a great coach. He has never done an apprenticeship nor training, just floated into jobs on the back of his star status.
