Who will be driving the bandwagon by seasons end? Bassett, Voss or Cornes???

So why wasn't I warned?

Flick it over to the Edinburgh Tattoo and listening to some nice pipes just zoning out the day and next minute '' omg how amazing was that they didn't crash into each other oh wow the split precision timing''

David Koch

******* hell. It's gotten beyond funny now. Feel for Chad here. If only Kern had some balls.

At a time when divisions have emerged between the club's on- and off-field operations Hinkley told Cornes, the new Port Adelaide Magpies coach, that he had further exacerbated the appearance of disunity by attacking the senior-listed players who performed in the second-tier competition.

BAHAHAHA

So Hinkley is publically chiding Chad for publically airing grievances?

Wheels have fallen off.

So here's my attempted summary of the Port board and clubs approach

Kochie whacks the players
Boak says he shouldn't have done that
Koch says they need to toughen up if they can't take the heat
The Port board thinks Kochie is right
Kane thinks he's wrong
The Port board thinks Kane's wrong and is turning into his father (that bit's pretty right)
The Crows board think Kane's a knob for protecting Port
The Port board thinks he's a knob for not protecting them
Chad whacks the players
The Port board thinks that's great
Ken thinks it's wrong
The Port board thinks that Ken's wrong about Chad being wrong and wish that Ken would be as outspoken as Chad
The Port board thinks it's odd that Chad and Kane are so different in their approach
The Port board doesn't understand the difference between being a coach and being a media commentator
The Port board thinks if it's ok for Chad to do it then it's ok for Kochie to do it
The Port board doesn't understand the different responsibilities between a coach and a President
The Port board isn't sure whether Kane is a true Port hero or can never be because he's a Cornes
Meanwhile Ken thinks everyone just needs to try harder
And KT just hopes like Christ that they keep turning up to games because they've sold the tarps to fund the purchase of YesWeKen t-shirts

I really don't know why people think there's any problem at the club:)

Reading that and I get this mental picture of Ken being so f%ckn confused he just doesn't know what to do. Almost coaches box level of out of depth. Him and Koch both appear so out of their depth to deal with what is happening that I'm starting to feel sorry, for Ken only though. Koch is an absolute DH, who pretty much deserves this. (Cue video: Koch in China bullshitting about singer NTUA in Mandarin and Black&Teal coloured stadium - what a w@nk...)

Port right now is an example of what happens when you put a TV personality in charge of a football club. Kochie is a salesman, he's a politician in training but he lacks in managerial and problem-solving skills. When the team is playing well and you have a good product a salesman is what you want, but when things are falling apart he doesn't know what to do.
Like when Eddie was hired as CEO of Ch9?

After watching Koch make a complete balls up of that club, you know who I have gained massive respect for?

James Brayshaw

He could be all showy as North president, and he acts like a bit of a tool on TFS and Triple M (though his Triple M show with the Chief, Frawley, etc is the best thing on radio) yet he doesn't act all billy big boots as North president and his patience and belief in Tweedledum looks like it's paying off this season. Who would have thought, eh?

We're still bagging Port (fun I know:D), but they're one win behind us with 7 out of 9 easily winnable games coming up. **** I didn't know their fixture was that soft! I can see it now - will beat all the crappy teams and nek minnit top 4. lololol
It's a salient point. Won't suprise if Port aren't knocking on the top 8 by seasons end..

They'll be selling the good news story then.

I have massive respect for brayshaw in his rise from obscurity. I used to listen to him on morning radio on triple m when he was just a failed cricketer. Within a few years he was co-chairing the footy show with long time heir apparent lyon.

I hope they are. I hope they do make finals.

A third 5-8 H&A finish will keep Ken there and they'll love him for it. The mediocrity will be celebrated.

I still remember him and Amanda Blair - it was the biggest show in Adelaide. Isn't it funny how their careers have taken completely different paths since. Blair still has a massive chip on her shoulder whereas Brayshaw is one of the biggest names in Sports media.

failed cricketer that won two sheffield shields?
Essentially your saying any footballer that doesn't make AA is a failing footballer as he's essentially a dual premiership player.

Glad you picked that up.

75 first class games, almost 5000 runs @42 with 2 shield wins.

Not too shabby.

Shield cricket back when he played it was a far harder game then it is now. So he deserves respect for his cricket career. Back when he played, the best Australian test players used to play regularly because they didn't play as many matches as they do now.

When is their last China game? As long as that one is again an embarrassing loss damage will be done
