Only just realised Lyons wears 31.

In the first game at AO he was the only bloke keeping us in it Til half time. Fairly overrated I reckon. There's a reason he hasn't pushed Thompson out of the side

Um he played pretty much every game, with Thompson in the side, not sure how the two are related.

We wouldn't get that much for Spitta.
I'm actually quite happy if that's the biggest flaw you can find in my plan :)

But I do think Spitta is worth more than some on here do. He stoppage work and tackling is still very good and IMO still will be for a few years yet. For a team with good outside run but lacking those inside players he would be a good pick up. For a team like GC his leadership would also be very useful and whilst the keep D Swallow issue wouldn't be a big one, it wouldn't be irrelevant. All that considered I think we could get a pick in the 20s for him.

Doubt we'd also get the upgrade of 11 to 8, but I really only did that because I really like the look of Taranto and doubt he'll get to 11 - he might not even make it to 8 after academy picks come into it.

Let's just change my plan to Swallow for pick 27 and we'll take Venables with pick 11.

Alright let me try this.

#1: Wells --> Collingwood (FA) --> End of first round compensation pick (#19)

#2: Goldstein --> Essendon --> #1 & #20

#3: Hansen & #12 --> Port Adelaide --> #10

#4: Black --> Carlton --> #41

#5: Swallow & #20 --> Gold Coast --> #9

#6: McKenzie & #66 --> Adelaide --> Lyons

#7: #1 --> Gold Coast --> #4, #7 (Prestia pick) & Matt Shaw

Leaves us with:

#4, #7, #9, #10, #19 & #30

This list management thing is easy.

Your a genius. But l think this has a few flaws.

I am starting to get very excited about the fresh new-look team we're going to have in 2017. As long as the team has a red hot crack, I am fine with a massive ruthless trade period over the next few weeks.

I'll just bring my boots incase we are short

North - 10, 19, 30
GC - 21, 22, 24 and aaron hall.

Hopefully there is a fresh start and a rebuild with the game plan as well.

It's all for nothing if stubborn bard plays the same way
Funnily enough, I believe that the game plan doesn't need that much of tweak, it's more so the personnel that needs changing. The game plan does encourage the use of frenetic pressure and quick movement inside fifty, however our player's haven't been able to consistently apply a high level of skills, composure and pressure across all four quarters. An example of this is the Swans and Hawk games, games where we were in with a chance of victory, but our composure and class going inside fifty let us down and our pressure dropped afterwards. A change in attitude, required tweaks to the gameplan (particularly the defensive side of things) and personnel (quick, can contest one-on-one and tackles and chases like a madman i.e. Garner/Turner types) can see us be around the top 8 again next year.

Agree 100%

I think our game style of 2014/2015 was the best. It stacked up with the best and the inclusion of tudor showed we could withstand the pressure.

I think this year we had great success against the dogs and went that option a little too often. The combination of that, a tonne of injuries and a lack of confidence (caused by injuries) meant we dropped off sharply.

The gameplan is good. The bombing it inside 50 and the midfields attitude of "yeah, you'll be fine to sort it out defenders" is not.

I think drummond should be moved on and tudor should go back to the midfield coach.
