A so far. Drafting might shift it.

I would think that Suban and Ibbo will need to perform very well to justify another contract.
Hope Gray is re taken. Few like him for hardness and aggression. Better speed and disposal than Suban.

I think grey is in the mould of deboer/spurr , deluca is more to ballas/suban.

You're joking surely?! Grey couldn't hit the broadside of barn at 20 paces. Why do you think he got delisted?! If he could kick he'd be on 400 k a year, not a supplicant for his own job..

Got to ask you this question ,why geelong delisted hamling? if he is highly rated by freo. Hamling is delisted by geelong around the same age as grey now.

Grey can't kick, hence why he got delisted. I like his attack and the way he plays, but I personally don't see the value in picking him up again as a rookie. To be honest, I actually wouldn't mind taking Courtney Dempsey as either a rookie or delisted free agent, he fills a need and costs nothing.

I always thought Dempsey was one of there better players, maybe he just stood out being a fast and skilful player off the back flank. Then the last few years he struggled to get games. Weird. I can't help but feel he would be handy as a rookie, even though if Essendon are delisting him there has to be some problem.

From memory I think hes injury prone, could be wrong but I think he has spent a lot of time with the medical team.

To be honest, i dont see many bulldog players can kick , mostly handball out of traffic and depend few good kick to deliver the ball .

He definitely had injury problems, but after reading the Essendon board that doesn't tell the whole story. Compare the way we have reacted to a few of our boys being delisted to how they are reacting to dempseys delisting is pretty damning.

Salim malik , if somehow grey and/or deluca get rookie list i will take either of them as my buddy. But you must also add zac clarke and suban as your buddy .

I'm not sure both Grey and Deluca will get added (to the Rookie list) but we should know closer to 28th November.

Having watched a lot of both they have positives and negatives. Unfortunately kicking skills for both have been ordinary. I have seen some nice flat kicks from Grey and then straight after a 'WTF was that' kick.

I was impressed with Deluca's improvement late season. At the AFL bye I was convinced he was done. Some games he would kick flour bag after flour bag (and terrible scrubbers along the ground). However this did improve. He is quick & did well with his tagging jobs.

The bad news for Deluca is that he has been dropped off the Rookie list, whereas Grey off the main list.

Not sure when PS training starts but they will probably get a couple of weeks to impress before the Rookie draft. The way they both come back after the break will have a big bearing.

Fair comment , but i thought senior like d.pearce , suban and ibbo do the WTF kick also after more than 5 years with freo .kind of a bit unfair to single 20- 22 years old players for that and think that pick 71 onwards dont have weakness in their kick.

I dont know why you think I'm a Suban fan. You're mixing me up with Danny.;)
You pretty crap or suban style lately with your comment about grey and deluca and think pick 71 onwards will be better kick than both of them .

Yes they do and each (much to your pleasure) will play a lot more down at Peel in 2017.

I'm not a big fan of either of those 3 but what I have seen at Peel, their mistakes aren't as noticeable (note: only one WAFL game from D. Pearce in 2015). Grey and Deluca are making their clangers under the pressure of a WAFL game.

Let's see how Deluca and Grey present for PS training. It is Rookie list only in my opinion.

In my opinion I rather see players develop then give up on them in two years time .not many kids draft got mature body.

Just my though
Grey and deluca can give some pressure to ibbo and suban and replacd them next year.
I rather see a young peel team with deluca and grey playing than suban and ibbo .

I reckon you'll get your wish for one of them on the list. Grey reminds me of Brock O'Brien from a few years ago. Played well in one of those mass resting games under Harvey (Port Adelaide I think) and had a 'Bull @ a gate' style that everyone liked.

I must admit that seeing Grey ram through packs like a wrecking ball brings a tingle to my spine.
