We beat the Hawks when they were one of the form sides of the comp, you beat them when they were, well shit.

You haven't thought perhaps about yourself looking a bit silly? Poster Drewie11 pointed out that your own record at the MCG against Carlton, Hawthorn and Collingwood wasn't all that stellar. You yourself admit that Richmond have lost twice this year at the MCG whereas the Crows haven't lost a single game there this year.

And finally (although this game wasn't played at the MCG) the head to head record Crows vs Richmond this year isn't terribly flattering for the Tigers, is it?

The bookies have Adelaide as lukewarm favorites. They currently have Adelaide at about $1.72 and Richmond at $2.15, and they have the line at 5.5 points. I think this is probably fair enough, maybe slightly flattering for Richmond, perhaps reflective of punters in Melbourne betting on the Tigers. I think the betting market opened with Adelaide at about $1.40.

The Squiggle by Max Barry (who is a Richmond supporter) isn't anywhere near as confident about the Tigers:

We've had 4 wins against top 8 sides at the G but I forgot, we are playing the Crows..... Nothing to do with favorites, more to do with how easy you lot think this is going to be.

Don't worry about how silly you might look, just keep thinking how easy it will be.

So there are some Richmond fans who are tipping that it will be a lot easier for the Crows than Crows fans on this thread have been saying, and there are also apparently a lot of punters putting money on Richmond and bringing the betting odds in much tighter than the professional bookies opening guess for the market.

What can I say? I think perhaps that the bookies were more on the money for the opening market, I think that Max Barry's squiggle is a little too pessimistic concerning his Tigers ... but all in all I don't believe that people tipping the Crows right now are going to look silly even if this game is to be played at the MCG.

And you guys lost there to Fremantle, you know, the guys who finished 14th. So perhaps you aren't as infallible at the G as you think.
Fremantle were in good form when we played them. Beat Dogs, then beat Dees at the G, then beat North, then lost to the Eagles, then beat us, then beat the Blues.
We played them later in the year at their home and beat them by 104.

We are surely beatable at the G, but a 11-2 record with 2 loses being by 2 and 9 (v in form Sydney) points is pretty good.
Every team has a poor game every now and then, Freo was ours. You guys got smashed by Dees at AO but I would still would give us next to no chance of beating you there.

Crows are playing better footy than the start of the year too.
We are miles ahead of the next best individual team (Sydney) and team of best individuals (GWS). Richmond's window opened this week and will shut promptly one week later.

They are no chance next year. Will not finish top 4.
You sound like the cats fans before we cleaned them up... love it.

Adelaide by 30 points. Way too classy for the Tigers. Richmond play with a lot of heart but I don't think that will be enough to get them over the line.

I can see how Adelaide are super favorites, looking at the MCG stats for 2017

Round 2 they smashed the Hawks 24 points at the G
Round 15 they annihilated the Blues by 12 points at the G
Round 19 they had a draw....... with the Pies

On the other hand we are 11 and 2 at the MCG with a combined total of 11 points for the loses. But clearly this is irrelevant as we are playing the Crows.

I can see how every one might think the Crows will be favorites watching them in Adelaide, they look like a million dollars, but this is the MCG, 11 and 2 is our record there for 2017.

So you are saying that Richmond have lost twice and the Crows have not lost at the MCG? So the Crows have a MUCH better record at the G than Richmond :)

By that metric a 15.4% better record at the G this season. Earth shattering I know. ;)

Every day I've gotten more pumped and the reality that we made it here feels like less of a dream.

Wait til the Brownlow when they show us and we are all drinking water etc. That's when it starts to feel real for us and them I reckon.

Are any crows even flying over for it?
