Hibberd, no for me. doesnt have a high ceiling and with the selection of possible 95+ defenders for slightly more, id pass.

At this stage I'm avoiding the really expensive defensive premo's in favour of fitting 4 premo's in whilst still having most of the top priced mids.

So I've got: Adams, Laird, Johanissen and Hurley. Then my plan is see which of the top scoring premos fall and try to grab them a bit cheaper. I feel the difference with having some 90+ guys compared to some of the 100+ more expensive guys is acceptable given those conditions. I guess the risk is I never manage to upgrade to get some of the best players in the backline. I don't think any of the guys individually is too contentious but as a combination its probably not as strong as some other teams ones.

Adams - Possibly the highest potential of any defender but carries significant injury risk.
Laird - Pretty steady but did have a bit of injury concerns which slightly reduced his average last year.
Johanissen - Similar to Laird but a bit more potential for mine (but missed more games).
Hurley - I reckon he's capable of scoring similar to Rance but with a 70K discount. Won't always be getting the #1 forward either. Plus he's always been a great kick coming out of defense.
