Thats incorrect.

Its used on and off. Its not widely used by most teams because in order to tag you have to basically sacrifice one of your own players to shut down another. Even now most teams do not tag. The successful clubs do not use it. They back their own players in to win it for them and beat their opponent.

Going in with a negative mindset, such as tagging, does not win you flags imo.

Hawks, Cats, Swans have never used it.
Look, I'm not going to worry about going back and forth on this. Almost no one else has tagged in the last few years. That's because teams don't run man-on-man defense. They run team defensive structures and you can't just lose one piece of that and have it work.

Quote from the Pyke article on Fagan.

So what has his club and his players been doing about Gibbs the past year and a half? Bit of the pot calling the kettle black IMO.
Notice how it never became public knowledge until trade week when Bryce requested a move ??

Your coach should concern himself with things closer to home

Well I guess if Brisbane fans think they will get him for market value or unders, may need to rethink as pissing off our club isn't wise for a player under contract. We may just dig our heels in, especially if they use a threat like the McCarthy situation as rumoured.

This is the worst part of all that. There is absolutely no chance that Charlie would do a McCarthy and go home to his family and sit out a year. And we would know that better than Brisbane would.

I am still massively confident we keep CC long term and we also keep Lever and Gov, at least for another 2 years.

Just in regards to this now potential shitstorm between our clubs, this is what was actually said:

Caroline Wilson. "There is a lot of talk that Charlie Cameron wants to go home and move back to Brisbane. He is contracted but I think Adelaide struggled last time to keep him there. Would you...would you look at a trade for Charlie Cameron?"

Chris Fagan: "We're certainly interested in getting players to our club that can help us progress up the ladder and his age profile and talent would certainly something we'd be interested in. I’ll leave all that to David Noble and Dom Ambrogio, but from a coaching perspective if Charlie Cameron were to be available and interested in coming to Brisbane, we'd love to have him as part of our team."

IMO we're just seizing the opportunity to take a "tough" stance because you're Brisbane not Collingwood et al

Last time we took a stance like this (Aish) Collingwood threatened us with Restraint of Trade bullshit. Their whole club is a joke of old.

Good sign

Looks just as bad as reported

The last sentence is a doozy
