Thoughts in terms of value?
Not much at all. You could get him dirt cheap.

Multiple PCL injuries means he can't really jump anymore, something that Nicholls relied on given his lack of height.

Good tackler though. Just don't count on him to get any tapouts.

My opinion -
Value Low, any next year pick would get it done for mine.
the value for us would probably be in freeing a list spot to use one of our existing picks this year
2018 picks out now for us given the Lever deal.

Yeah, unless you can get one from another club, which seems like way too much effort to go to for nicholls. never know, you might not need to trade for him at all, i dont know his contract situation, but my feeling would be he's a realistic chance of being delisted if he isnt traded.

Nicholls contracted til end 2018.

Lynch question. My understanding is that as a restricted free agent next year, gold coast can match any offers and he will be required to stay. No one seems to bring this up but wouldn't it sny offers be similar to what we would be offering him anyway so we would be happy to match??

True, but those offers would only be lodged if Lynch wanted out, so the matching the offer would only be a threat to force a trade. You wouldnt match it is Lynch had already decided he didn't want to be at the club.

Pies not much better than you?

Membership
Pies - 75,879 (#1 in AFL)
Suns - 11,665 (#18 in AFL)

Attendance
Pies - 1,003,991 (#3 in AFL)
Suns - 369,482 (#18 in AFL)

Bye for now...

So let me get this right. Collingwood entered the competition in 1892 and has 75k members.
We entered the competition in 2009 and have 11k members and your bragging about growth rates because? I'm quietly confident you will lose that one..

Lynch is staying. Lock it in. Pies supporters going to be bummed when he turns them down for a third time.
Yep, just because a player is from another state doesnt mean they are guaranteed to go home. - Look at Matthew Pavlich for Freo, South Australian, didnt have any success at Freo until well into the second half of his career. stuck it out and now widely regarded as Freo's greatest player.

Trade radio still saying Suns and Brisbane are interested in matthew lobbe.
Have no idea why, Even if we trade Nicholls. We have Witts 2MP and currie and maybe Tippett

Obviously Nicholls is gone, Currie may go if we get Lobbe or Tippett.

We clearly are in the market for a ruckman.

Totally bizzare, unless we're delisting/trading Currie and Nicholls.

Plus the likely recruitment of Crossley from the academy. We have solid ruck depth.

Honestly disappointed we didn't trade 19 and Saad for 11. I know the points only meant Saad was rated at pick 45. But it didn't really matter with all the picks we had this year and another chance to pick up a gun. Pick 24/28 gets us absolutely nothing we couldn't already get our hands on.
