Such a team is destined to be mired in mediocrity. I doubt you'd break the top 10k with that lineup.

I agree. You'll start the season like a house on fire scoring around the 2200 mark but with the lack of cash generation from sufficient rookies you won't be able to upgrade enough of those to full premium status. End result is you'll still be scoring 2200 - 2400 at the end of the season when the top teams will be 2400 to 2600.
Get rid of 2 mid pricers from each line and replace with a full premium + rookie as a start

too many expensive rooks.. structure is set.. if some kids put there hands up I'll upgrade my defence. Might go without swallow as a POD if he doesn't show anything

Rookies look to be stronger in defenders and forwards than midfielders, so I'm currently toying with something a little different.

DEF: Docherty, Adams, Thurlow, EVW, Ryan, Newman (T Stewart, Sheehan)
MID: Dangerfield, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Neale, Merrett, Treloar, O'Meara, SPP (Barrett, Pickett, Freeman)
RUC: Grundy, Witts (Strnadica)
FWD: Dahlhaus, Franklin, Macrae, Ryder, Black, Eddy (Bolton, McKay)

$92,000 left over.

Very bare obviously other than through the midfield which is stacked. If I can get the rookies right on each line, I feel there's a hell of a lot of $ to be made in that team.

Thoughts?
Nice team - I really like it when people take their chances and have a different team
Just a bit of feedback around the edges
Docherty is a bit too expensive atm
Witts - will he overcome his injury?
Franklin - love the guy, but I'll wait to see how he is playing this pre-season first. I've brought him in too early most years
JOM - I'm not too sure if he is over his injury vs d.swallow? BTW - got to find room for MM
