With Garland likely to retire opens up a spot. Players I think we'll look at - Z Clarke Mullet and Collins from Freo. Personally think Collins is with a shot. Especially if Garland retires.

If we're going like-for-like Mullet makes a lot of sense.

I too would like Mullett on the cheap.

Though it does cause concern that at his age, a team like North would simply delist him. If he was half decent you'd think they'd keep him or at least entertain a trade.

Then again, i don't think much of North's list management recently. They should keep Gibson.

They honestly are a mess atm...their list is all over the shop since they went 'all in' a few years ago to chase a premiership.

I'm surprised they kept Waite on. They'll be lucky to get 12 games out of him. And Goldy should be traded. Just get games into Pruess and Daw.

We were so cocky after Gysberts got 27 touches opposed to ablett in his second or third game. Incredible some blokes can peak in their 3rd game

Pick 70-something or a PSD selection is worth a lot more than whatever it costs to pay said player out. And my preference would be a PSD pick, it’s a good chance to walk away from the National Draft and evaluate what was selected and what’s still needed without being on a timer.

There is also the option to take an extra Rookie with the view to elevating someone later on, which I like. Make the rookies hungry over the preseason to win that elevation.

Doesn't that beg the question ... what exactly is the point of the Rookie List? There was 17 Category B Rookies selected last year ... is there any point to it?

Pretty much no point. Effectively is a one year contract program for draftees.

So asked the Freo board about Balic and a lot of them have said his game compares to Pendles and Bont without the depth in his kicking. So it sounds like we are grabbing another Dom Tyson at the worst.
