Wonder what the club are thinking.... murmurs are that we just head to the draft.

With the rumour of Melbourne's possible exchange yesterday, what do we prefer:

1) Schache (pick 15) and take Pick 17 to the draft?
2) Take Pick 15 + 17 to the draft?
3) Exchange 15 + 17 with Melbourne's 10 + 27, and take 10 + 27 (Naish) to the draft?

#3 option.
Get pick 10 then offer it up with next years first 2 picks for Lynch.
If not then we,ll go to the draft and get Hayes & Naish.

Im not sure taking two firsts and changing it for 1 first and 1 second... All basing this on Naish...

2 things, no guarantee Naish gets picked in top 11, then all teams after that are interstate which may be a turn off given how vocal he has been about following Richmond. SO unless Essendon or Melb take him, there is no reason to swap picks to get our first before Naish if Naish won't be taken before 15. Personally I don't think Adelaide will take him at 16 either and he will slip past both our firsts. I am not keen on given up these just to position ourselves ahead in the draft.

2 if, like Bishop has mentioned in the trade thread, there should be a couple of players we are interested in at 15 still, so why would we effectively give up a second 1st rounder (assuming we get something we want with 15) to trade down to 27. ESPECIALLY if my first point runs true, if Naish slips past 17, then worst case scenario is we dont get the 2 x 1st rounders, but waste a second rounder on Naish because we traded a stronger position to a place below his worth.

I personally don't think Naish will go before 17, so I reckon we take 2 young KPP (Even if one of those is Schache) and take Naish FS after that.

I'm not sure why so many people are keen on Smith on this thread. What does he upgrade for us? Why would we consider using up a first round pick for him when he isn't required? We should only be looking at a KPF and that's it if we decide to trade this period.

Now the difficult part, we get involved in the Lever deal with Adelaide and Melbourne.

Richmond give: 15 17 50 & 53 (2643 points out)
Richmond get: 10 27 & 34 (2640 points in)

Adelaide give: Lever & 34 (542 points out and 21 year old KPD)
Adelaide get: 15 17 & 45 (2484 points in)

Melbourne give: 10 27 & 45 (2445 points out)
Melbourne get: Lever 50 & 53 (21 year old KPD with a decade ahead of him and 506 points.

HUH??? This is crap.

Why would we want to help out another club improving their list... lose two of our very good depth players, only to move forward in the draft by a total of 3 points.

If they want our picks, they need to pony up or **** off.

there is actually a website / product that does allow you to do live shows, so people can actually call in or type messages to us during a live broadcast, think it records as well.

problem is it costs $$ ha ha.

Agreed. I not sure why most posters are pushing to swap picks. Unless we receive an extrodinary offer, take our picks to the draft. If a club bids early on Naish, so be it.

Melb get from Richmond: 15,17,50
Richmond gets: 10,27,29 (utilising Melb need for picks and we make out better in points approx +300 point benifit)
Lloyd +53 for Geelong 33
Miles+29 for Gold Coast 19

Leaving us with: 10, 19, 27 & 33

Not bad in theory, my only problem is that there isn't much in the draft after the top 20 or so, so those picks 25-40 are probably worth significant less this year then they will be next year for example.
