IF North can't ATTRACT any players in and won't let all the players that want to LEAVE goFlog Barrett will be licking his sliding door lips on North's trade period.

I am bullish on all of those blokes, possibly with the exception of Larkey and Junker who haven't really shown too much for obvious reasons. However I'm also aware every other club has talented kids, and are trying hard to get better, and I'm genuinely worried if we aren't proactive we could end up falling short again. As Tas posted earlier, our core is there.
1st Rounders- Simpkin(19),McKay(19),Ahern(21),Durdin(21),McDonald(22),Garner(23), Pick 4
2nd Rounders - Clarke(20),Hibberd(21),Nielson(21),EVW(21),Dumont(22),Wood(24), Pick 23
Add in Mountford, Williams, Zurhaar, Junker, Larkey and whoever else we pick up this year. Well unless you think all those players are shit and worthless then yes we will be shit for 5-10 years.
when did he ever get 3 possessions? goldy is the only one i can recall that never got dropped after 3 possessions.

“What happened to north? We got Gibson who is one of their best midfielders and I’ve heard Cunnington is on over 800k?”
/cues the entire lot of them laughing their ass off at norf
I have no faith in the club to ensure we finish bottom 2 next year.
Scott will play Waite, Thompson, Goldie, Swallow and co instead of the kids and we win enough games to have the privilege to use our 1st on Thomas instead of using our 2nd on him.
Lol, so now he is suddenly our best midfielder and a superstar once they leave the club. *sigh* Reminds me of when Bruce had an orgasm about Wells this year.Darren Jarman on Adelaide radio

If we threw up Jed Anderson

Weller was contracted so they might have missed out altogether. Getting him was much more important to them than getting Swallow, so if Freo would move for pick 2 that's the deal they focused on.So if you are GC you would prefer to take Weller as opposed to Weller and Swallow for minimal wage?
Adelaide have to try and find humour in something after being blatantly robbed by carlton.Darren Jarman on Adelaide radio

Let’s see If they are still laughing once he starts playing for them.
NORTH MELBOURNE
Who Left: Sam Gibson (Adelaide Crows)
Who Arrived: N/A
Draft Picks: 4, 23, 64, 78, 91, 96
Champion Data says: “If North Melbourne had been able to offer say Todd Goldstein to GWS and say ‘we will still pay 90 per cent of his salary’, GWS may have been willing to pay as high as Pick 11 just because they get a player for the next two or three years. It’s a real surprise that they weren’t able to leverage their excess cap space that they weren’t able to spend on Dustin Martin or Josh Kelly and use it in the trade period.”
Chris Pelchen says: “This is not sitting in judgment of any person at North Melbourne, but what I will say is that as a club I’m disappointed. If you are going to rebuild, you have to get more than one pick in every round of the draft. That’s what you get every year as a given anyway. For them to be so dormant in the trade period, they needed to actually be trading players out to get returns for. I’d hardly say Pick 91 indicates an aggressive rebuild. I think they let themselves down in a very critical period.”
Grade: D
I hope we are not going to spend a whole season tanking; that is Melbourne style thinking and look where it got them. I won't be bothered going to games if I think we are not trying to winI have no faith in the club to ensure we finish bottom 2 next year.

You better get some medication then because our whole drafting strategy is predicated on finishing bottom 3 next year - and that will be in the context of a soft draw for us.If Waite, Thompson, Goldie, Swallow and Lindsay are best 22 and the younger players aren't earning a spot through form then I'm fine with that.
It makes me ill to think we become a team gifting games and trying to finish bottom - happy to lose and at the same Tim disrespecting our values and champions of the NMFC like a Swallow.
This year , these guys were forced out through form or injury and we busted a gut to win every game and live our values - I can watch that
The kids need to and will earn their place and we will value the players on our list who put their bodies on the line weekly.
The off season is for playing games - the season proper is for WINNING games
If the above mentioned players had found new homes then great - they didn't , so now they are NMFC players and I hope they all have career years and lead us to victory in more wins than loses and teach the younger guys that to pull on a Guernsey for the NMFC means you made it , not that we need to put games into someone 17 years old and prey that can play football
Go Roos and good luck to every listed NMFC player for 2018
Wel

So there will be plenty of games against poor sides that we will 'need' to lose.
Of course if we play well and finish 10th that is even worse as we will have no access to the elite draft picks and be forced to pay overs for our academy picks.
So we are stuck in no mans land at the moment and the FD believes inactivity is the best way out of it.
So we are stuck in no mans land at the moment - and with a FD with no plan to get us out of it.
What r u talking about - that is exactly what they did - they told us on our website last week they would do nothing and thats what they did - nothing. The publicly declared it and followed it through to perfection.Would you like our football department to publish their plan on the website so we can read it, along with the other 17 clubs who would love to know what our plan is?

Many on here are big fans.Hey guys, just curious about your thoughts on Sam Gibson?
I honestly know nothing about him other than he has the longest game streak, and finished 4 and 6th in the last 2 b&f’s.
Could you see him being in the crows 22 next year?
