What crowd for Collingwood and Brisbane? 40k?
Collingwood fans here will blame the Ethihad thing no doubt.. To a degree it’s true. Over 30,000 is a must, it should be in the 32-33,000+ region but I have a feeling it will struggle to go much higher than 30,000. Last year Richmond drew nearly 29,000 to an equivalent fixture so a little higher than that feels about right.

Forgot about the Geelong one. Should've actually looked it up. Lol.

Yeah, they snuck a good crowd in amongst the rest of their 10-13k dross.

Will be interesting to see if the q clash gets more next Saturday. I doubt it will though.

Don't think it'll get anywhere near it. Last Q clash at Cararra only got 12k, and that was a Round 1 game.

The GC crowd dosent look too bad today considering the RL is on down the road at the same time.

Just over 18,000 today in GC. My brother was at the ground and said it was literally 90% Tiger supporters, looking on camera you could see the whole ground was basically yellow & black. The Army was out in force & are the biggest in the land.

If your definition of large margin is around 600 people, then yes.

The game there against Geelong got 17,490.
Was the Geelong game also a Saturday afternoon game? I remember hearing one of the Suns execs about a year ago saying the Saturday afternoon time slot is the best time slot for crowds up there because it enables their younger supporters and families to attend the more friendly timeslot rather than night games.

Excellent crowd.

Saturday twilight.

Only reason was because GC fans decided to roll up to that one was because Ablett was playing for the Cats. Today there was fk all GC fans, the crowd was a pro pro Richmond crowd.

So they only got a decent crowd that time because people showed up to watch? Good to know.

Correct, they weren't travelling as bad and the fact their champion was now playing against them had a bit more incentive for GC to rock up to the game. How many did the Pies get against GC for the same game up there? ;)

59,529 I think I heard Eddie screaming just now.

2nd lowest between the sides in more then a decade (and takes the decade long home and away average below 70,000).

That said the pre game weather forecast would have turned a few away (hence the lowest MCC estimate for a Hawks v Cats game)

Was a loud crowd though

Link to any gc posters on their board saying this is the only reason they went to that game.

Just one

Why do i need a link? Just using common sense as to why they got a good crowd v the Cats, (their ex champ in Ablett now playing for the Cats) it's called using your brain & logic. All their other crowd numbers are well down confirming this observation to be true. Now to today's crowd v the Tiges, that's a different story. No gimmicks needed here. Just the yellow & black army out in full force. ;):thumbsu:
