Humble reminder that Hawthorn picked up Paul Puopolo at the same age Cavarra is now.
IIRC Morris was 22 when he was rookied, turned 23 before his debut.

Corrext but we will need to promote him to play aFL footy
Like the old rookie system
Seems a project player to me, a year as a cat B would be perfect.

Fremantle stockpiling on Williamstown. It's a good thing we got Cavarra when we did.

If no-one takes Buku before our pick 70-odd, and we choose someone else, do we get the rights to automatically select him with our first rookie pick?

He automatically goes into a cat b selection
No one else can take him

Could we re-rookie BTC? hes well regarded around the club. Even if Bevo doesnt like his style.
Would be a massive surprise. I've never heard of a club de-listing a player and re-rookying them without confirming they would do that at the time of de-listing. I think Tom's time at the club is over.

What if the bid is between that pick and the end of the draft?
We have to match or let him go

Pretty sure there are only 71 active picks after that is rookie promotions

This is the list rebalance I was anticipating since this time last year. Very happy with how it has gone. Tall or two in the rookie draft now.
Yes exactly ,was rediculous last year.
As others have suggested ,the introduction
Of the midseason draft alleviates the need
Of stocking up on excess talls.
And l believe Young and Fletcher remain
on the list.
And if they dont back English in next year,
Other teams will come knocking.
As for Tom Boyd he is a forward / ruck not a ruck/forward.
So good list management IIMO
Cavarra= finally a small smart goal kicking
tackling forward.
With Smith and West .reckon wont miss
Dahliaus's high up and under rugby kicks to touch.(nowone)
Well done recruiters.

Correct me if I'm wrong (or the AFL site to be accurate) but did North trade pick 51 to get St.Kilda's 2019 3rd round pick then trade their 2019 third round pick for 46?
They have essential upgraded picks in both drafts with 2 trades!
Why didn't we trade for St.Kilda's pick?!
Looks like Sam is picking up scraps from the big boys table at this stage.

Yeah I'm really confused by the hate towards Melbourne. It's not like they did something spiteful. We'd have done the same in their shoes. Did some of our posters expect everyone to pass on West and let us get him at the end of the draft just to be nice?

I agree but I still hate Melbourne just because they are Melbourne!
