I think you'll need to see how he does at the Champs before the 'late on, won't cost much' is a fact. Could cost a bit by years end imo. But then worth it if so!
Crossley was Allies MVP All Australian U18 and he slid to #52. Graham will be a Sun next year and it would just be nasty for another club to try to pick him early because the Suns can and will move up to match the deal. But since the Draft process hasn't been finalised yet, and there is the Trade period before hand, we really don't know how things might play out. At this stage, with the 20% Academy discount, the Suns will hope to pick up 3 or 4 Academy guys in the 2nd and 3rd rounds or Rookie Draft and bring in 2 or 3 genuine 1st round picks from the National Championships. The Suns have an extra Category B Rookie spot unfilled, so they only need to delist 5 or 6 players to recruit 6 or 7 players.

I am really not happy with Clayton trading out last year multiple second Rd pick plus this yearygc second Rd pick for eagles First Rd , look pretty stupid .No wonder Eagles want him after GC get rid off him .

Thinking the same thing today - 4 picks in the 20s for pick 15-18 - ****ing shithouse

Every Eagles win is an arrow through my heart

GCS is actually helping Eagles to refresh their list and shit ourselves out with stupid trading . I mean if GC don't give up this year second Rd I am still happy about it.

After watching the Suns get smashed by the Dees.
Could anyone blame Tom Lynch jumping ship.

There doesnt seem to be any gun player the commentators or media are saying will be the Suns saviour.

Onwards and upwards in 2019 with whoever we have on the park

wrong thread, but it’s not like Tom is busting his guts out to help. One bad loss, this travel is killing us. After our bye I’ll assess us

Hope we are having a look at this guy.

Would have worked with Dew in Sydney so that's a bonus.
Could also have a look at his two younger brothers Billy and Matt potential rookie spot maybe.
Don't know much about Matt but played a bit of footy against Billy he is a gun.
Finally started to take his footy seriously this year and joined VFL team South Melbourne

Found this about Jake's younger brother

WE MIGHT soon have another Matthew Lloyd in the AFL.

But unlike his famous namesake, this young footballer is doing his best work at the defensive end of the ground — and he prefers to go by ‘Matty’.

Matty Lloyd, who’s actually the brother of Sydney Swans ball magnet Jake Lloyd, is an emerging bottom-age TAC Cup player with the GWV Rebels. And it’s definitely ‘Matty’, not Matthew.

“I haven’t breached that with him yet, but none of my paperwork says Matthew — all my documents are Matty,” Rebels talent manager Phil Partington told foxfooty.com.au.

Lloyd is only 16 and will be eligible for the 2018 National AFL Draft, but he’s already had a tremendous start to his first senior TAC Cup season.

Playing off halfback — like his older brother has for the Swans this year — Lloyd is averaging 23 disposals, six marks and eight rebound 50s per outing, with an efficiency of 76.9 per cent by foot. His best game came against the Calder Cannons in Round 4, winning 32 disposals (kicking efficiency of 91.3 per cent), 11 marks and 14 rebound 50s.

As those numbers suggest, “composed” is one of the first words that comes to Partington’s mind when asked to describe Lloyd.

“He sums up situations a bit better than other players, because his mind’s quick,” Partington said.

“For him to stand up and play every game so far and do well, it’s very pleasing for him.”

What makes Lloyd’s hot start to the year even more impressive is the fact the Rebels see him for just 90 minutes a week. Lloyd is still based in Horsham, so he takes a two-hour bus ride each Thursday night to attend training in Ballarat.

It’s this work ethic and “high-performance attitude” that has Partington convinced he has a ripping young prospect on his hands.

“I called him the young foal of the group, because last year as an Under 16 his legs were just gangly and he was like a young foal trying to sand up,” Partington laughed.

“Now I call him a yearling, because he’s so smart with the footy but he’s still growing into his body. He’s the tallest of the Lloyd brothers, but he has got that game sense and poise.”

WHILE Lloyd and many other bottom-age prospects make up a significant portion of the Rebels’ best 22 at the moment, an over-ager at the club is showing incredible maturity and resolve after being denied of his footy dream late last year.

I’m surprised we never went for Anthony Miles last year from Richmond would’ve slotted nicely into our midfield and has been killing it in the vfl but probably not a chance to get him now

Don't worry , every club need to delist three players for new draftee .

Seems every time we roll the dice at the trading table it’s snake eyes. I’m not sure we would of maximised the value of the 4 picks but it certainly looks like another bad decision

The way it been done , I think Clayton already prepare to go to eagles, there is Ablett and Weller deal to be done , if Freo ask for last year pick 2 why waste time going around doing the Eagles deal first .

Should launch an investigation into draft tampering, although the Suns are stupid to let a dead man walking start dealing out multiple picks for lesser value.

Wouldn't rule out that Clayton was paid a signing bonus for services already rendered. The only saving grace was WCE missed out on Tim Kelly by a bees dick otherwise that would have really soured me everytime Kelly got the ball.

Did a quick calc on the WCE trade and found that we would need the WCE pick to be #2 in order to be equivalent value based on points.

I could never understand why he was allowed to continue once he was given the flick. That deal with the Eagles stinks to high heaven.

I don’t think anyone thought the eagles were going to be this good last year.

Well , still Freo ask for Pick 2 last year , and don't want Eagles this year first round , is like you tell me you want pick 2 and I go around and do some stupid deal with other before coming back to you and said do you want Eagles first round pick this year .Once the deal is done, you left with like the last 1 1/2 hour to do Ablett and Weller dealer.

One future first round is not equal to last year multiple second and this year GC second Rd pick no matter how you flip it .

He was our best player in the VFL last year and is probably leading it this year also , Ball magnet with huge heart but doesnt fit our running pressure game style Jack Graham,Dion Prestia,Josh Caddy have taken any position he has a chance to cement.

Sam Lloyd & Anthony Miles would of been a good get for the suns and are the type of players that would really improve culture and comradarie in any team
Woul hardly cost anything and would be good gets for you guys until the cream rises for a couple of years.

The whole draft period stinks for us last year
The eagles deal ( Clayton sold the farm for no reason at all)
The Freo deal ( pick 2 for a good not great player, this is more than we will likely get for Lynch)
Wil Powell, looks like a great kid but we over paid by a mile.
See any common trends above, I want to buy property from Clayton.
