I would rather Barlow than Duncan and we traded Barlow because he couldn’t kick..

I think it’s important to think where we want to be in 2 years time and the style and type of players that give us the mix to meet the style we want to play.

Don’t get sucked in to the here and now and forget the future.
We didn’t trade Barlow

Say wut?
Not sure what you mean about Duncan , or if you ve even seen him play but the guys pretty much an elite kick...

If we were able to get him for a future second(personally think it’s pipe dream) and not sure why his names been bandied about , haven’t heard anything of him wanting out?)then I think you’d find the club couldn’t do the deal quick enough

Didn’t the muppet on 6pr today say Lobb is a front runner for WCE and not freo?

Apparently wants to be solo / first ruck..

Isn’t that the total opposite to what we are all talking about here with him? A 80% forward with a chop out in the ruck?

Don't listen to 6PR.

If all the Freo fans stop listening, they would get a hit in the ratings.

SEN you can get over the net.

Fyffe is going to need some immediate help if Neale goes!!!
Blakely would slot straight into Neale's void. The advantage of a Neale trade is that we can use 4 to get a gun kpp like Ben King and 5 for the other king or our 3rd young gun premiership midfielder to join Cerra and Brayshaw. We would use the other high pick from Neale for the best mobile small forward with x factor. Those new additions outweigh the premiership building potential of retaining Neale which is why I'm almost hoping for the trade now that I know Lachie has invested in Brisbane tour and talk

Do you honestly think we’ll get 2 early picks for Lachie including Brissie’s pick 4? I’m terrible at predicting the trade value of players, especially ours.

Ok cool thanks for the redirection

But it wasn’t the answer to the question I put out

Btw I live in Sg and listen to both channels via an app.

100% it won’t just be pick 4.

There will be so many shuffles of picks that it’s impossible to predict right now what we’ll seek and get.

That said I’ll say pick 4, 41 and future first from Brisbane for Neale and future 2nd.

That’s reasonable overs but one in which we’d probably deal.

I don’t consider 4 and 22 overs. But we may do that if we have other things lined up and need the currency to do those deals.

The word has changed more to Neale staying.

I'm predicting 4 and Bris 2019 1st for Neil.

We then convert 2019 Bris 1st to a player and late 1st or early 2nd and a 3rd.

What do you guys think Duncan’s trade value is? Seems we’re looking at him.

Probably similiar to Kelly - 10-15. Probably only makes sense if we keep Neale and expect to be challenging though because he'd be a bit old for a rebuilding side.

I hadn’t thought of it like that. Was thinking more as a replacement for Lachie. I don’t think his age would put us off. We seem to like having a good amount of experience around even though we’re rebuilding but I guess our new list manager may think otherwise.

IF we traded Neale, then I don't mind Duncan at all. He's a line breaker, an above-average kick and tag worthy which means it helps our younger midfield players (Brayshaw, Cerra and Blakely).

Imagine Duncan, B.Hill and E.Langdon roaming the wings...

I’ll answer your question. It is all media talk. These shows like trade radio and Hagdorn on PR are as accurate as you and me have a yarn about trade possibilities.

There were reports that Lobb had his exit meeting on Thu but so far no news regarding a trade request.

What was being discussed by the media is that Lobb reportedly (from some click bait warrior) wants to play more in the fwd line. What I do know is that Eagles are more likely to trade for Hickey or Lobb because Roughead as a FA will mean they don’t get compo for Lycett. So in effect Roughead would cost them about pick 21 or thereabouts.

I’m sure WCE are in the mix for Lobb.

EFA

Apeness and Jones have zero currency. If it's true about Duncan doing a medical with us and Lobb maybe coming our way I'm not sure how the rebuild is going recruiting players that are 26 and 27 next season.

It also doesn't great as far as us keeping Darcy.
What was the source in regards to Duncans medical. I cant say ive seen that one yet.

Admittedly i dont watch alot of geelong, but he is a very good player. Would have at freo.

Yeah maybe, I'm not sure. Feel like if we lose Lachie we might as well double down on leveraging the present in view of the future because we'll then have the 3/4 top 5 picks that would set us up 3-4 years down the track.

So Lobb is a 700k forward, who can not kick goals.:think::think::think::think::think::think::think::think::think:

Lobb is again injured but the Giants, it seems, have learned from their mistake, calling in a specialist, Dawson Simpson, to fill the void instead of Patton, whom assistant coach Brad Miller believes is undoubtedly a forward first.

"When he goes into the game being the No.1 ruckman – playing 75 to 80 per cent ruck – then maybe it is a bit too much because it's not his preferred position but when he starts forward and goes into the ruck I think he plays a really valuable role in there for us," Miller said.

Future midfield of brayshaw, cerra, rozee, smith, that looks pretty nice.

You forgot Connor Blakey, with BHill and ELangdon on the wings! Looks even nicer!

Having said that I think Lachie Neale will stay and his manager is doing all the Brisbane stuff to get him a better contract.. hope he stays... young fellas need a good role model, and he is a great role model and leader at the club.
