Nah, 5AA, like every other media outlet in Australia, is biased against Port because they once dared to say something negative about them. I think Donald Trump learnt quite a lot from their "shakes head" thread.I have been getting a lift into work this week with a mate, and he listens to FiveAa breakfast.
The amount of casual references to Port by Pilko is amusing.
I am sure Daniel Norton has written a list of references for him to make and he gets a wad of cash every time he does.

The funny thing is that it is so forced I personally disliked how proCrow the station was and how much praise we got and still do get to an extent. And yes there are plenty of AFC Ambassadors who work there.
The difference is they talk up our club because they are genuine supporters and lovers of the club. Like us. I am sure there is a Teal light on the panel at FiveAA that when lit up the presenter is contractually obliged to praise Port.
It is hilarious how false it is.

Port are on the same deal with 5aa as Northpoint Toyota and Rusden Black Guys ShirazI have been getting a lift into work this week with a mate, and he listens to FiveAa breakfast.

So much of what Port does is contrived.
The whole NTUA is now viewed as cringeworthy by my Port supporting friends. The China thing is a sad "look at me " excercise that doesn't seem to have achieved much at all - in fact has probably cost them the four'n'twenty sponsorship.
The hype around their project Recruit a Reject is bordering on hilarious - somehow Ken Hinkley will turn Watts into Carey even though 5 other coaches ( including Roos) couldn't!
It's a club that classically employs hyperbole when their reality is looking a bit ordinary !
Need to note Rusden Black Guts Shiraz is actually a good drop.Port are on the same deal with 5aa as Northpoint Toyota and Rusden Black Guys Shiraz
Seems wasted on Rowey at $85 per bottle.Need to note Rusden Black Guts Shiraz is actually a good drop.
Every now and then they mention sport...that doesn't relate to themselves
Problem with Jars is he doesn't seem to have a personal filter... Which you would have though would be a must when on radio.I remember Jars talking about something that was going on with his wife once. I was thinking no one cared but he just went on and on. It was embarrassing.

Would have thought Gossips would be more appropriate...
Yes if you didn't know the wine, you would assume it was quaffer wine with Rowey spruiking it.It's definitely an interesting marketing tactic, I've never quite understood how having someone that you could imagine being satisfied with a goon bag would help you market your product as a premium wine.
If MMM put on a couple of decent sports presenters they could wipe out the 5AA sports show.He seems to think it’ll make listeners relate to him. He’d be wrong.

I have never had Gossips either & much prefer a decent Barossa shiraz... but we have plenty of other quality SA wine regions & varieties too. Spoilt for choicePersonally would never try gossips I live in the Barossa Valley, the home of some oldest Syrah grapes in the world.
Why would Anyone in SA drink anything but Shiraz from the Barossa,
Marketing wises it a very good concept, How many every day people knew about Rusden black guts before Roey started to push it,It's definitely an interesting marketing tactic, I've never quite understood how having someone that you could imagine being satisfied with a goon bag would help you market your product as a premium wine.
From the description given on SEN, he's reviewing the fitness aspect of umpires, nothing to do with decision making. I'm assuming this is in response to things like umpires complaining about having to bounce the ball up because it hurts their shoulders and things of that nature.Does he get to review the umpiring in the GF??
Too bad there won't be any reviewing the umpiring of MCG GFs. I still can't get past the first 20-20mins of the GF replay. Jesus the umpiring was a farce. From the description given on SEN, he's reviewing the fitness aspect of umpires, nothing to do with decision making. Imagine if they got Kane and Benny doing an afternoon sports show...what insight! If MMM put on a couple of decent sports presenters they could wipe out the 5AA sports show.
Plenty in SA who like listening to sport, but hard to listen to either channel. I'll switch to whichever is doing an interview, otherwise tend to listen to music. I rarely listen to talkback anymore.
McGrath by some way. Saad is all offense from what I've seenHappy Summer guys/gals.
Quick one, apologies if this is not the right place, who would you least like to play on Betts next year in rd1, McGrath or Saad?
McGrath did pretty well for a first year player on Eddie, curious to know what your thoughts were on Saad v Betts.
Best of luck this year!
