It could be worse. What did Andrew Jarman say to get suspended?

“Just f*** the guts out of ‘em with your big c**k,” he said.

And a few Rowy-isms are so much better. I don’t mind the front bar conversations and the rhyming slang that goes with it but to ignore a total gender helps change the radio station.

Saying that Dave Hughes and Kate Langbrook on mix are useless and whoever is on SA-FM (whatever that station is called now) could not be much better. Radio in Adelaide isn’t of a high standard.
...Which is when music becomes a better option.

I reckon the typical 5aa listener is a male 40+ who has the disposable income and ego to spend money on decent red.

It is South Australia after all. We’re all experts on Shiraz.

Nearly right, I listen to 5AA when working in the shed, or in the garden, I am well over 40, I have a disposable income.
But I drink decent reds and whites because I live in the Barossa and you have to have a good wine with your Meals?
Besides I only use vinegar to get the rust of my tools :D

And if I want a cheap drop I drink Beer. it lasts longer and more enjoyable than cheap wine. especially on a Hot day.

If MMM put on a couple of decent sports presenters they could wipe out the 5AA sports show.

Plenty in SA who like listening to sport, but hard to listen to either channel. I'll switch to whichever is doing an interview, otherwise tend to listen to music. I rarely listen to talkback anymore.

iPod you mean?

Yes, much better option.

A hot tip. Stream music or podcasts through your phone and play them through the car stereo. It's life altering and you'll wonder why it took you so long to catch on.

We need more wine talk.
I dont drink wine, but a couple of years ago there was a thread where someone asked for some recommendations.
Of course there was no shortage of responses.
Anyway, the missus likes a nice drop of red and I bought her a couple of the suggested wines. She loved them!
I bought Pepperjack and Church Door. I actually suspect Pepperjack is her favourite wine now. Any excuse now and she splashes out on a bottle of that.
She also likes Marlboro region Sav Blanc so if you want to include that in your discussions, feel free to do so.
Thank you in advance.

Pepperjack is hands down the best value quality wine out there

No it isn't... but it is consistent if you like tasting the same wine regardless of seasonal fluctuation.

Mike Press wines are cheaper & better.

Same with Burke Salter wines.

There are so many good value wineries out there.

I could keep going...

Woooooooooooo. That’s a good life tip. Thanks

I just bought a new CD player for my car so I could do that. CD player was f'd in the current one and I was going mental trying to find anything to listen to on a radio station. Only cost me $100 to get one that had Bluetooth and USB stuff built in.

I have been getting a lift into work this week with a mate, and he listens to FiveAa breakfast.

The amount of casual references to Port by Pilko is amusing.

I am sure Daniel Norton has written a list of references for him to make and he gets a wad of cash every time he does.

Pilko is a Crows supporter though isn't he?

So much of what Port does is contrived.

The whole NTUA is now viewed as cringeworthy by my Port supporting friends. The China thing is a sad "look at me " excercise that doesn't seem to have achieved much at all - in fact has probably cost them the four'n'twenty sponsorship.

The hype around their project Recruit a Reject is bordering on hilarious - somehow Ken Hinkley will turn Watts into Carey even though 5 other coaches ( including Roos) couldn't!

It's a club that classically employs hyperbole when their reality is looking a bit ordinary !
Yep and with China and NTUA you would think they would have a major sponsor... How many days has it been?

Hughsy and Kate so bad they've been poached by the Hit network to head their drive!

Adelaide Hills sav Blanc is the go. I used to drink a bit of Marlborough and Margaret River, but stick 100% to Adelaide hills now. Shaw and Smith the favourite.

Literally the first thing I looked for when I bought a new car back in 2011 was an AUX input. I'd go crazy without it.
