Thought SPS was solid, Fisher came good as the game went on, good to see L’Ob get his first goal, Lamb is ok in defence. Marchbank, Kennedy good early. Thomas battled manfully. Polson faded after first quarter. Little glimpse in the last with the run off half back and the long kick to Graham.

I would play McKay for the rest of the season. Hopefully Cuningham back in the VFL next week then straight back into the 22 afterwards.

Questions have to be asked of Bolton.

Why does everyone bring up selection but then ignore that Bolton is always gojng to have a huge say in who plays?

He’s the one all year who has been leaving us at a disadvantage from the opening bounce.

I am sick and tired of picking duds at the selection table .... it’s as if it’s a conspiracy.... let’s do real bad this year and screw getting a winning culture.

The pattern of our performances is ****ing annoying.

Rd 9: smashed by Melboure
Rd 10: took it right up to Geelong, probably could've won if we kicked straight.
Rd 11: strong performance against Sydney, let down by inaccuracy and poor use at critical times.
Rd 13: smashed by Freo off the bye.
Rd 14: went hard at Collingwood all day despite being two down.
Rd 15: another strong performance against a contender.
Rd 16: smashed by one of our cellar dwelling peers.

Four 'honourable' losses against teams far superior to us both home and away but smashed by teams closer to our level.

Why? Why? Why?

Bring that almost top rung footy against our peers and you'd think we win.

Games like that emphasise that the club wont be taking Lukosius with pick 1 .
Totally smashed in the midfield for run and uncontested possessions , 24 marks inside 50 for Brisbane is incredible again emphasises the lack of run and accountability up the field .
Midfield issues need to be addressed in the off season with the best available draft assets we have .

I know it’s not a major thing but I love the left field pick up of Luke hodge at the lions... we could do much worse than have some thinking outside the box such as this... I’m trying to think of someone of similar ilk as him such as Bartel a few years ago... or a Corey Enright last season or I don’t know, give us some on field leaders which, apart from a few, we lack.
