That is right. That was about all he was worth. Said that ages ago and that is why I wouldn’t have done the deal. It’s about 10 to 15 picks before the draft just about finishes. Yes you could fluke a player but I suppose it gets back to how you rate hickey. I rate as clearly our best ruck. The club don’t. It shows how poorly we have managed this draft last season that we get excited with pick 39.

I wouldn’t want to trade out of the top half a dozen because we need elite talent, but both SA clubs have stockpiled nice picks and will come hard towards the end of trade period I imagine.

Ok so thats Hickey gone. People keep saying for a 2nd rounder but as someone pointed out
before, we have affectively traded him for Pick 60! Somehow that's seen as a win!
Suppose if we can somehow satisfy Syd with this, it works out well!

Nope he hasn’t , neither have Billings , Gresham and Steven although some people keep saying they have . How many times have the Saints and Steven said he is staying ? But some people love to stir up trouble.

Personally, I reckon that would need more than a first round pick to even consider it. A low first and a low second maybe.

The only reason you want a low draft pick is to increase the chances of avoiding a dud. He looks like he could be anything right now, why gamble on someone else?

I didn’t realise they meant next year . But a lot can change in one year . I know it’s a long shot but if we got someone like Kelly next year then I doubt they would want to leave , but I could be wrong.
