The kid is tracking as well as his brother at the same age and he is the 2nd best runner in the team / at this stage to early to call how good he will be.
At least he played a few games this year and picking up 24 touches on debut which is pretty good

not bad for a 20yr old kid who only played 7 games and this kid was picked up at pick 56

Are you people serious? Do you all work 9 to 5 at a desk?

Feck, I work remote from home, sometimes on the train ( not often) have been known to start work @ 5 from home, late at night, on weekends.

Fair dinkum, talk about living in the 1950's.

Well unfortunately (or fortunately) schools are not open at 5am, nor late at night, nor the weekends.

Besides which, parents might take a dim view of us sitting and refreshing our phones / laptops during class :D

Honestly thought the same thing on my lunch break today. 4 hours in the working day and I had 15 pages to catch up on. Thankfully this thread is as predictable as home and away. (Spoiler: hickey v longer debate finale)

Good point. Turns out the twist was Hickey being "wanted" and making his way west, and Longer amounting to a dung heap that no other team wanted and now we can't get rid of him. Stay shit Billy, it's served you well so far you slow arse wobbly numpty.

I wouldn’t mind trading next years 1st for GC pick 5 this year should it end up in there hands and take King & Smith or one of them and split Pick 5 to Adel/Port for multiple picks. I realise we then can’t trade next years 2nd for Hanners so would have to find something else.

WTF are you on about. Don't any of you Kent's WFH or remote in?

Task based gigs not time based. It is 2018 FFS

I work from home but it boring mowing your own lawn 12 times a day and it’s hard to earn enough money to live

We get it Joffa, you’re Hip
Not hip at all. Jesus Christ, it is just basic computer work, after campaigners wondering if people had jobs.
Never hip in your 50's, I'll leave that to young sprayers with fragile ego's and security issues

If you ever needed a reminder as to why the average Collingwood supporter is scaped directly from the bottom of a rubbish barge full of nappies on a 50 degree day, then swing around to their trade thread.

They’re carrying on as if Langdon is some top 20 midfielder, and claiming that Bruce is nowhere near his value since he can’t get a game at St Kilda. Even once the numpties get reminded that he has broken his leg (unfortunately even the intelligent pies supporters still aren’t with it all, as they fail to mention his back injury) they still doubled-down with their comments about him being unable to get a game.

If anyone ever doubted the veracity of the Dunning-Kruger effect, that board will put any and all doubts to bed.

Our own nupties have been saying he's not part of the 22.
Yeah neither was Aaron Hammil back in the day.

They say this is a great draft. Wouldn’t gc like to get 3 potential stats in the same draft so they can grow together

That was me. Never been called a campaigner before :D
You do realise I was being facetious I’m sure...

Serious question....

Does anyone on here actually work? You know, have a job? Earn a daily wage?

Log on after work today to about 30 extra pages.
I’m not a bad speed reader, but come on....
People time their annual leave for this.

Seriously, a few years ago, we had to set up an Abridged version of this thread, summarising each day's events during trade period. It was precisely for the reason you describe.

Can’t help it, I’ve got FOMO :straining:

That was the best.

These days I think it'd just be pages of memes tho.

They say the top 7 picks in this draft is where you want to be , so trading out of pick 5 would be madness , surely they wouldn't make another Weller mistake.
Also seeing we missed our big fish , we are primed to get a very good player at pick 4

with pick 4
Hannebery

we are looking better

I agree 39 is clearly better than 60 this year. But unfortunately that's not the whole question

The real question is whether Pick 39 and Pick 72 next year (which doesn't count anyway apparently) are better than Hickey, Pick 60 this year and Pick 57 next year? Unless we have some deal with Sydney that allows us to get get Hannebery for 39 I think that's a very ordinary trade.

And given that we got Phillips in a late pick last year, look to get Kent for an even later pick this year just confirms one thing - there is an implicit value to late picks and therefore they need to be considered.

Actually I'm just bitterly disappointed that WC got Pick 20 for an OK ruckman and we got Pick 39 (or actually 60) for ours. How bad is that!!!

Because our ok ruckman is worse than their ok ruckman (who’s a Premiership ruckman now after beating the best 2 ruckmen in the comp in the Prelim & GF)?
