Oh dear, thats not ideal, I might have to back out of this proposed idea of taking him straight up.

Don’t forget he’s scored very well as a forward too. Champion Data love the star players.

Monitor his JLT2 performance should he be picked imo. The other risk factor is he's missed about 4-5 weeks with a Hamstring late in the pre-season. This will be his first game back. But as OhhShitItsDatBird said, he scores well up forward too.

Yeah, he's almost certainty to be in top 10 forwards barring injury, I will look at it and see how he goes. Do you think Rocky will end up as a top 10 mid this season?

I think Rocky will score big no matter where he goes, he's just a natural accumulator. Maybe a slight risk we play him more forward than people expect but meh

Ive always picked Rocky, its been a massive roller coaster ride with him. Injury is the main thing that stops him from being a lock I reckon. I might pick him depending on what role he has.
I never know why hes played up forward, I dont even think hes any good at it in comparison to his midfield work.

Statistically hes one of the best 1on1 players in the game, he can definitely play forward. He didn't have the luxury at the Lions as they couldn't afford to have him out of the midfield.

Yeah but I would have thought the majority of the stats come from midfield which plenty would have been one on one. I dont like his lack of pace in the forward line.

Rocky could easily be a 30 and 2 player at Port.

I can't really see Rocky getting the ball as much as he did at the Lions. Up there it was Rocky to Zorko to Rocky and as the other team had the ball a lot he was also doing a lot of tackling. I don't doubt he will pick up big scores but certainly he will get nowhere near the heights of 2014 where he scored seven scores of over 150 including a 190 or even last year which he started with eight centuries with a highest 167. In the last 12 games he only had one score over 100 but that was after injury.
I would expect him to score somewhere in the range of Ebert and Wines.

Sorry for the intrusion. Just wanting to know what Barry's job security is like? Is he a likely R1 starter and have decent js? Thanks, appreciate any help.

At the moment he's looking to have the jump on the other bench starters. At his price I'd get him onto your bench at least. Scored well in JLT1, not so well in JLT3 but had less TOG. Too bad that he's not a forward or DPP as he could cover for Robbie Gray in R1.

Cheeers, thanks for your reply, appreciate it. Good luck for the year.

He was hardly even sighted in JLT 3 o_O

As I read it, the games were listed by the week they were played in, not the number of the game. For instance Richmond played on 24/2 and 7/3(JLT1 and JLT2), Port played on 25/2 and 10/3(JLT and JLT3) and Gold Coast played on 4/3 and 11/3(JLT2 and JLT3). Although in other articles(it says that inthe one about fantasy) all teams played JLT1 and JLT2.

Could possibly be! I just viewed it as the latter, as in games, not weeks. I certainly agree with most that this has been the best preseason format for many tears.

Looking back on it the JLT1/JLT2 thing makes more sense. I reckon the weeks only came into it when the traders did their articles on the weekly games.

Hey lads, just wondering what your guys thoughts are on Bonner with Pitt going down? I feel like he could be a nice cheap option to put in defence who could make money in the early rounds
Likely to be in the team for a few rounds and maybe permanently. Should do well running off half-back but not sure I would risk $423K(AF) or $257300(SC). With those prices he could drop money. Might be an idea to keep an eye on Cam O'Shea of Carlton who is $231K(AF) or $166K(SC). Did ok in a short time in their second JLT match and has an intercept mark so a chance to start as Sam Docherty is out for the year.

Appreciate the response mate

I can't say I've followed what Port have been doing in the off-season however when watching them against the Crows, they seemed happy to maintain possession and pass it around some, backing their foot skills around the ground. If that's the case someone like Rockliff could do quite well given his ability to get in the right position for those 'cheap' link up touches.

Hadn't really given him much thought but with what he can do, the temptation is always there.

Reading the above, someone mentioned an issue with his knee? Any more information as to what that's about?
Edit: Google tells me it's a knee strain.

Not really anything more on Tom other than the detail on the Port Adelaide website which is that he will be available after knee soreness. As to getting cheap touches, like you I feel he will pick up a lot, I'm just saying I don't think he will be the fantasy pig he was at Brisbane. He will be playing a role here where he was running nearly the whole show at Brisbane.
