I couldn't believe the traders ignored Coniglio, he was steadily improving and had a good year in 2016. His average was down last year but he only played 7 games and in the finals he scored 92, 121 and 143.
Absolutely! He is elite, and a total bargain at current price IMO

I have had an absolute shocker.
I had Zorko selected as my captain, second-guessed myself and replaced Cripps, Heppell, and Westhoff earlier in the week, and missed making final changes to my team before lockout.
18/18 in both leagues. Good start.

Would be good if it was your eyesight.:D

Pray 4 Alyx.

I can't complain too much, worst for me was Merrett going down and Hibberd.

He will improve but will reach nowhere near the heights he did before in a team where he is not the big kahuna.
Is there any reason he can't though? We've seen big time fantasy players co-exist in the past - Ablett, Bartel, Corey and Selwood. Swan, Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Treloar. Kennedy, Parker, Hannebery are a few examples off the top of my head. He's also had the likes of Beams and Redden at different stages but obviously not to the extent of the Port midfield list.

Obviously as someone who picked Rocky (due to Danger not playing) I'm certainly hoping (or in denial) that he can bounce back after round 1. I didn't get to watch the match but I'm hoping with Gray returning next week he might get a friendlier role. Again, I can only judge from what I saw in the Port v Adelaide pre season game, but the chipping Port did across half back to maintain possession and push it forward when they were ready is something I could see Rockliff getting actively involved in.

I could be way off and the players Port have to rotate through the midfield and Rockliff's ability to go forward means he doesn't get over that 110 mark but I'll roll the dice again next week and hope for a better result - no doubt if/once I move him he'll begin to score well, as is the fantasy sports way.

He will only get better, I am sure. But he is a bit expensive for that type of tactic IMO.

I'm talking about the regular 120-130s and the 4 or 5 times he would exceed 150. And there will be the occasional 80-90. Just seems too pricey to me, I'd be spending the money on a Coniglio, Parker, Heppell or Kelly. Rocky could be worth it if his price drops about $100K. But I could be wrong, he had no pre-season so if he goes into the midfield in the next few weeks he could improve and be amassing tons each week.

Which big scorers(and good cheapos) did you have?

Just a lot of the regulars really, Only 2 premiums in defence in Laird and Savage, Bonner Doedee Murray and Finlayson to round it out.

Dusty, Titch, Crouch, Fyfe, Cripps, Coniglio midfield

Heeney, Billings, Smith, Petracca, Sicily forward.

Dougal with a good score for SC, not so much for AF. His kind of game is a lot more suited to SC, he got 107 this week for SC but only 50 for AF. If he is used largely as a replacement for Paddy Ryder his AF scores will improve, probably to the extent where he should be considered, but as a defender I can only see him scoring big in SC.

gday guys, may i please ask what DBJ's role was on the weekend? i see he had a fair few clearences. Looking for a guy who can average 80+ in my supercoach draft league and hes in the pool. Thoughts? Thanks, good luck this season

Hey guys, Great win on the weekend, I have you guys as this year's bolter... I'm spewing you nabbed Watts ahead of us, he would've filled our CHF hole beautifully; I think you will get great service from him as a third tall behind Dixon and Westhoff.

Quick question - Is Riley Bonner Best 22 and likely to play all games this year (or is he likely to be squeezed out by other experienced players at some stage)?

He had a cracking start to the year, and it appears he finished last season strongly also.

Right now he is def best-22. Jasper Pittard is a great player but is out for around 4 weeks. So Bonner has 4 weeks to force coaches to keep him in, which on current form will be the case. I personally can't see him being dropped, but he will need to keep his form.

Hey lads, quick question.
Missed out on Bonner in my draft league but Dougal Howard was available so I nabbed him. Reckon he could be like a Jeremy McGovern 2.0?? Not 100% sure on his role

He has been reinvented as a KPD, and will probably stay there. But he can ruck, and is a great forward too! Very fast, mobile, and intuitive. He could also replace Westhoff in his role once he retires. But KPD for now.

Hey guys
Just reading your posts on Rocky. i picked him as a steeping stone to danger thinking he was underpriced and would make some quick $ and then trade up to danger. don't think that's going to happen now with a 55 in r1.
So now thinking it might be worth a quick trade to dusty and give up on Rocky.
If he comes good is it likely to be around the 90 mark rather than the 110 mark?

That's what the thought is here, as his role is different to what he played in Brizzie. He is a champ and will get better no doubt, but can you afford to wait? Your call!
