Because clearly if his partner likes Brisbane and Queensland and is familiar with it makes it a lot easier to make the move when neither are from there. If his partner was dead against leaving more likely he just stays and takes fremantles offer .

If I'm reading this right. Why would the fact that Neale's partner has an x lover on the Gold Coast make Neale more likely to come here?
