Harley Bennell the steaknives in the Neale trade ;)

Where is the line and have I crossed it.

If Lachie Neale hasn't signed an extension before the end of this week he's ours IMO. It could be an uncomfortable evening in Fremantle on the 6th.

Dockers B&F night- Saturday the 6th of October.
Trade period begins- Monday the 8th of October.

I'm never the one with any info on this stuff. But an ex colleague who i worked with in melbourne and catch up with with everytime i am down there and is great friends with fages which said to me last night that fagan is quietly confident on Neale coming up and they have been working on it for some time and once they get it sorted it will start the chain reaction for a few more acquisitions of players. Wallis? Yolmen? Ross?

And on the 8th day of October, God said "Let there be light upon the Brisbane Lions"

I saw Rohan bewick last night, asked him if the Neale rumours were true.

He said "I'm Ryan bastinac you arseh*le"

Always been a joker that Rohan.

Neale’s interest in leaving could be as simple as he has no confidence in the coach (he’s not on his own in that) and he doesn’t want to wait him out. We have an age gap slot he can own for years to come and we are likely to be successful in the next 3-5 years when he is at his peak. All this in a city that makes it easy to have downtime. I think his interest is genuine.

I think the interest is genuine. Maybe it’s Lyon related. But no offence I don’t think it would have anything to do with a projected success of your club.

He could easily seek any actual successful club in the AFL and suitors would have a look. Going to Brisbane for future success? Yeah that ain’t why he’s leaving... if he is.

So I don’t mind the speculation, but let’s be honest with ourselves.

You can’t knock Lyon and in the same sentence parade Fagan as the new messiah. Facts and basic maths will tell you that’s not the reason he may want out.

I'm not getting really excited about potentially picking up an 'injury riddled player' as we need our best squad on the field, not on the sidelines. But it says a lot of positive things about our medical department if true.
Exactly.....we’re becoming a destination club

Menzel isn't a bad guess but wasn't the vibe I got from the comment. Seems likely it will be someone who has had persistent smaller injuries as opposed to multiple big injuries ala the ACLs.

I may have thrown three grenades.....but I assure everyone.....this info was from people very close to the Coach.

Fair. I've never actually watched him so can't comment.

Another Bell / Bastinac / Frost we have moved past getting these sorts!! Really not what we are in desperate need of this year or hopefully never again if list Management is done well in the years ahead.
Let’s not get back to what happened between 2010 to 2015, Rather go a mature VFL player in Michael Gibbons from Williamstown really was the difference last night against Richmond Reserves with senior listed Mids up against him 36 disposals and was beat Miles (love child of a few BF lion fans) pants down far more accomplished and hard worker including skills superior to CEY
