I wonder if Jesse Hogan will announce today that he is staying at the Demons after the Dockers ridiculous offer?

Where will that leave Steven May? I'd imagine there would be a bit of tension in the locker room after shopping himself around in Melbourne and being the club captain, I can't see him being captain of the Suns again if he has to sit there another year and wait for free agency.

Do we sit tight with pick 5 or deal with the Crows for a split pick?

How about pick 5 and next years second for hogan and Neale for free next year? Small matter of convincing him to come of course
From memory, didn’t we try and get him as part of either gws or gc pre draft selections (or something along those lines), he chose Melbourne then didn’t he?
I could be way of the mark there though lol

Random- Kane Cornes running the Melbourne marathon over the weekend and wanting to beat his time of 2 hours 35 minutes from last year, WOW! that is a seriously fast marathon.
Not wrong. That’s high end. Do you think it’s because he is used to running after people for long periods of time while he tries to talk to them?

Be interesting to see how they go next year if they lose Scully, Shiel, Lobb, Setterfield, Finlayson and with the potential loss of Kelly next season.

Cameron should be worried.

If they miss out on finals why would Kelly stay? He's only going to stay on the promise of success.

What the hell is happening at GWS. How did they get it so wrong? To lose Shiel,Setterfield and probably Lobb,Finlayson and Scully and Griffin retired just to stay under the cap! Kelly every chance to leave at the end of next season. Some players must be on silly money there. Guess it shows like us and the Suns they have to pay overs to keep players at there club?

Honestly can't see the Giants doing much next year - if they get injuries they have very little depth.

Unless we have a planned second trade for one (or both) of the crows picks we would get, I can't see a need to do this before the trade period ends. Remember you can now trade picks up until (a week?) before draft day. Make the Shockers sweat it out through the whole 10 days and look like utter amateurs.

How on earth do the Hawks think they'll get Scully / Scrimshaw and Wingard and all they have is pick 15?

Ceglar will go to GWS as part of Scully deal but they will need to offer a future pick as well. GWS having a fire sale!

If they get Wingard as well thats a good trade period but it will cost them another first round pick and Burton and like Geelong they will just sit around the eight but will they ever seriously threaten? Meanwhile they are not bringing anyone in through the draft.

At some stage you have to hit the draft hard and develop again.

Shades of Brisbane post 2004. Imagine if free agency was around back then, we would possibly have been able to stay on top for a bit longer.

Hawks are trading away their young stars for aging hacks for one last shot at a premiership?
