Graeme Atkins - that just triggered me. Heartbroken with a useless number 36 on my duffel coat. He did diddly squat at the Pies though, so that helped.

There is no gaurantees in footy. All this talk about hand shake agreements and him coming to us at the end of 2019 is not factual. Kelly and his management haven’t gauranteed north squat.

The club thought he was over line last year and look what happened.

I have no doubt the Eagles have pulled more money out of the sugar bag and thrown in perhaps another year to the Gaff contract. His behaviour was very strange this past week and astounded that his decision was not announced at Eagles B&F on Friday night. Could be that Tim Kelly is staying at Geelong and that loosens the purse to retain Gaff.
I was never that comfortable with what we were offering Gaff. He will be 27 next year and 5 years is a long time in footy to sustain his form and avoid injury.
On that basis I believe Josh Kelly is a much better prospect,he's only 24 and a champion. Let's be patient.

Not one of the targeted players dismissed us out of hand or provid d reasons that reflect poorly on how we are viewed as a club. Destination club is one of those hackneyed phrases used by journos who cannot be arsed doing any work.

Im very wary of this Connors. Start playing hardball with him. And start now. As in get on the phone, and give him an ultimatum.

Otherwise he will spend a year leaking to the media about our 11m/7yr off to Kelly to get a bigger commission.

So had time to digest. It's one player who eagles didnt even need to win the final. And Kelly is one player to if we dont land him. Polec is EXAXTLY the type of player we need for the past 6 years. Keep him coming. So is hall. Still allows simpkin fwd imo, plus the development of some of our younger players I reckon we will be ok. Maybe not next year but year after for sure and if not, there are 17 disappointed clubs every year haha
