My early money is on France, their depth is unreal. Also a lot of Ultra related violence and hooliganism.

There's always the one under dog team who makes it to the last 8 (Costa Rica in Brazil wasn't it? After making it out of a group of England, Italy and Uruguay). Who'll make it that far next year?

I honestly think Argentina will be up there and maybe Germany will be close but Brazil is looking good this year and they could take it but we never know, but I'm hoping Brazil will be finalists

I predict that my EU4 experience, especially with Third Rome, is going to help me easily identify venues in Russia, and also reminds me that Kazan is a big port and once a maker of fine boats.
(Seriously, I had to take another look to ensure that I wasn't looking in the EU4 wiki when I saw the stadiums.)

I predict a Germany vs France Final. Both will have the best squads on paper at the World Cup imo, I know it doesn't mean a whole lot but if they both play to potential look out.
England..... need a group containing Iran, Costa Rica and Egypt to push 2nd place before getting ****ed up the ass by Brazil.

I just can't see Deschamps ever winning a major trophy, that much talent in France and his most consistent player is still Sissoko. And Sidibe looks to barely be an improvement on Sagna so far.
I really like Brazil and I'll always root for them, playing great attacking football ATM, but I don't know if they can score so easily vs Germany. They have no effective targetman and Germany's CBs are all quick, so they don't have a backup option. We've seen Giroud, Slimani and Balotelli do very well against Boateng, Hummels etc. but Brazil don't seem to be able to exploit that aerial weakness(as close to a weakness Germany have).
And I'm backing Germany to find a solution to their striker issues before the WC. Werner is a talented player, so is Wagner and Stindl scored many times for them as well. At the very least they have Mario Gomez paired with Muller up top, still a great option to have.

Germany back-to-back, team is seriously stacked with talent young and old. Spain are cooked, France just have a choking ring to me.
This will be a successful tournament for England for once. A surprise semi-final appearance before (hopefully) a loss to Germany on penalties
