I don't think a draw is that likely given we don't lose any significant time to rain/ bad light. If we don't bowl them out they are likely to get a fair proportion of their runs from the 2 or 3 of Roy, Butler, Root, Stokes and Bairstow all of who usually get their runs pretty quickly. If they go after GOAT and hit him out of the attack this pitch doesn't really suit the rest of the attack as we have no real back up spin option. This is a bit like like those sub continental pitches where it can be hard when you first come in but not bad to bat on once set. We're entitled to be favourites given the turn and the footmarks, but we're no way certainties yet.
If they lose two early wickets, they won't even bother try to attempt to chase the runs down regardless of who is in. Would be all about preserving wickets.

Batting looking a bit too easy here

New batter Paine hasn't raised a sweat vs the new ball

Might make us reluctant to aggressively set a chase

No need to be reluctant. They are legit not even trying. Absolutely staggering how easy they are making things for us.

They bowled very few decent balls all day. A number of them nearly got us out and one of them actually did and it was a bloke who got 140 this innings and the one before. Bowl recently and set a field that attempts to take wickets and you're going to get batsmen out.

I reckon another 30 max before declaring. You never know with bad light in England.
