How often does a Port supporting lad request a trade from Adelaide?Surely he would want to play at Port though?
I meant jumping ship if we draft him.

Maybe Kelly has a gambling problem that west Coast don't know about.
If I'm the Saints, I'm not trading him out and paying his salary when they want to keep him.Because a late second is overs for Steven. That’s a fair deal if they are going to cover some of the guys salary. Steven is 30 next season and has already stepped away from the game (more than once iirc) for mental health reasons. No way in hell is he worth a second. Personally I wouldn’t go near him.
Never a "star" player anyway. Always a player that's surplus to the other team's needs. Like Frampton is about to be.There has been 6 trades between us I think? The best player from them was Matty Bode (and we'll ignore who Port drafted from that one. Will cause an aneryusm).
Intriguingly more players have gone Port to Adelaide, then Adelaide to Port. Might just be a wierd quirk of a small sample size as the quality of players traded between the two clubs is usually just depth pieces.

Kelly was a pIck 24Sold the farm??? Yeah ...nah! Geelong have a 30% chance of getting a future 100 game player with those picks. West Coast have an All-Australian superstar for the next 5 years.
You don't win premierships with pick 14s and pick 24's ...

That 2000 draft was one of our dumbest.(one of many) Angwin pick 7, Handby our 2nd round. Someone called Michael Smith 3rd round. FWISW Kane Cornes went pick 21. We did get Johncock as a late roughie though.
He’s not rated very highly at Geelong, wouldn’t be surprised to see him at another club next yearDon't go underestimating Charlie Constable, big tall midfielder, elite inside the contest and a clearance machine....just needed to work on his endurance. Should have had more AFL exposure than he has, he's quality.

Didn't he want to draft Kornes?Yeah Fantasia as a drafter was something to behold.
some port wank3r was having a dig at the crows so I posted this when he joked about us missing gibbs due to the 200 game rule
Lets hope james borlace ends up a star playing for the crows as one of our academy picks next year then as it looks like those same rules you are so happy about have cost port the chance to take him as a father son. Thanks goes to michaelangelo rucci though as who would have thought all those years back when he highlighted it with gibbs it would come back to bite port on the arse
Kelly was a pIck 24
I was just answering the bit about not winning with pick 24s, and WC being great for trading for Kelly. And so were Henry Schade (2011), Nathan Wright (2012), Billy Hartung (2013), Jack Steele (2014), Ben Keays (2015), Cedric Cox (2016).
Jake Carlisle (2010) and Jamie Cripps (2009) were the only 24's in the last 10 years who amounted to anything.
So ....30% chance.
Clubs have come a calling on Constable this trade period ....GEEL have said he's a required playerHe’s not rated very highly at Geelong, wouldn’t be surprised to see him at another club next year
