Well im a bit disappointed with that greenwood trade, but now we have a future 3rd and 4th rounder, Ive totally gone off track and I just want to see if we can get the complete set of future picks so we have 2 picks in the first, 2 in the second, 2 in the third and 2 in the fourth next year, just cos.

agree - it's a B- for me so far, however these were the easy ones to do.
Keath and a pick 4 swap are the big ticket items

I'd agree. B- right now. The Greenwood trade is a failure, though I rate the move to get rid of Betts, Jacobs and bringing in Frampton.

Jenkins is also another big ticket item for me.

If we do end up swapping him for Scharenberg it would be a good deal.

We currently have 4 senior list vacancies, and 4 picks under 50 with which to fill them - pending Knight & Keath trades.

** Assuming we continue with the 38+6 list structure.

No, minimum senior list size is 38 - and we've been operating there for the last 2-3 years.

So assuming we'll lose Knight, Keath and Jenkins. We'll have 7 senior list spots to fill. Murphy upgrade makes 6. Meaning we'll need to use at least two of the picks we receive for Knight + Keath + Jenkins. We've been public in trying to upgrade one of the picks in the Keath trade for the Dogs pick 13. If that goes through, we'll need to use both the picks we receive for Knight and Jenkins to draft players. Those picks could be pretty awful picks. Well above 50.

WTF is this obsession with swapping pick #4?

It's the equal highest pick the club has ever had, and half the board wants us to trade it away for no good reason? This makes no sense to me at all.

Turning pick 4 into two decent first round picks then means we don't have to use one of those awful picks we've accumulated above. Everyone says how the draft is even from picks 3-15. If we can get two players in that range for pick 4 instead of one. Its a win.

Surely JJ is not so totally useless and valueless that we are basically forced into a trade for a guy who has done3 ACLs, his latest last year. We should try to get something for JJ and take it to the draft. So far we have had an absolutely horror trade period. Don’t like our chances of this one turning out well.

He's 30, and we're trying to get rid of him.

JJ, much like Betts, is valueless.

GC 3rd and 4th would be equivalent to a F/S or NGA in the low 20's.
There will be clubs screaming for points next year so an opportunity to climb the ladder for Thilthorpe or trade our 1st and 2nd is valuable.
Elijah Hollands in that discussion too I hope.

Haven't been following too much but although we are regenerating our list which is needed.
It seems to be done using 3rd and 4th round picks.

Either we have a lot of faith in our development coaches, or this could be rinse and repeat in a few years.
