Brisbane will not be getting Ah Chee for a pick past #19 which they hold , If I was Suns i would not budge on pick #15 and force him into the draft if they dont come to the party. and promise to re draft him if its the PSD

after today’s events we should go to the BrisC v RICHmond final together Gun.
You can cheer for RICHmond and I’ll just boo And sledge BrisC. What a combination we’d make.

If Lions promised Ah Chee that the deal will be done and Suns are aware of it then Suns has a leverage like Freo had. I for once would love a player to go to PSD.

I feel the differences far outweigh the similarities in this case though. (Not gloating) but it appears Brisbane no longer need to chase players, and are becoming an attractive place to come play footy at these days. So unlike Gold Coast who currently are facing retention issues (like Brisbane in past years) and were desperate for Weller to get to Gold Coast, Brisbane won't feel the same pressure to land Ah Chee's services. Put simply, if he does in fact nominate Brisbane, they will pay what ever they think is fair value, or walk away.. not be held to ransom. I'm not here to cause a stir. Just simply pointing out the major differences between the two scenarios.

I hope you noticed I said if Lions promised Ah Chee that the deal will get done. You don't walk away from that commitment. Pick 15 if Suns grow balls and let's see what Lions do. I don't think Suns are in desperate need of 2nd, 3rd round picks. The may push for one of your young players waiting for opportunity in NEAFL.

The Lions have sucked up Ah Chee's clacker and convinced him to walk out of his club whilst assuring him they 'Will get the deal done'
They will pay whats being asked as they did with Cameron

Whilst your mob was talking about a 2nd rounder i was probably the 1st person to say pick #12 will be the trade and got abused by your mob on the main board but all the hero's went onto hiding never to appear again after the trade was done.

Pick #15 it should be but probably will get done for #19 but if i was the Suns i would hold out and wait, Lions will cave

Absolutely. My only worry is whether Suns have balls to do it. Fagan's disrespectful talk hopefully fired them up like us.

Should have nothing to do with Balls

Go on record early and tell them the cost and wont deal , Payup or off to the draft Callum
its a weak draft and not alot to lose. Would actually be a good thing for the kids to see what happens if clubs dont follow through with their promises

If he enters the draft re draft him

Yep, I also vote for you as our list manager.

It's a fine line between extracting the most possible out of a deal and being too cut-throat with players - if the perception is that we treat players like shit then people won't want to come here.

I'm not sure grinding out the maximum return for a go-away player would affect players wanting to come here

so by failing to get a deal done (and resorting to sending someone to PSD).. we would be letting players know that we can get deals done?
We have no responsibility to Callum Ah Chee now
By all accounts a decent guy but decent guys make life mistakes too
He's made his bed, it's not up to us to make it comfy

Yeah I'm talking about implications beyond that one player. Do you think these clubs with 'good culture' would do that? What does that say about an organisations culture.

Not suggesting we don't try to get the absolute most out of every trade - but I'd stop short of sending players to the PSD.

The suns dont have the problem it will be the club who has promised him the world that cant get it done because they dont value Ah Chee enough to give up a pick like #15
