Sending people to the PSD would IMO
so by failing to get a deal done (and resorting to sending someone to PSD).. we would be letting players know that we can get deals done?
It says more about the culture of the whole place if we resort to that, not just the individual act.We should only be concerned with players coming to the club. If they are concerned about what happens when they want to leave before they get here they should never have come here in the first place.

I'm not talking only about trading.
This is actually bizarreIt says more about the culture of the whole place if we resort to that, not just the individual act.

Hard to believe you have supported the Suns for longer than about 10 minutes with comments like this
Name a player we have ever forced into the PSDOk lets send all our players to the PSD, that'll work.
We'll scare all our players into staying.
Great way to build a team.
You clearly don’t understand what we’re talking about.Name a player we have ever forced into the PSD
I found it weird that even a Richmond supporter come in and try to get something out of ah chee, yet some GCS supporter just want pick 40+ for him.
Yeah I’ve seen him enough. Average, undersized. Tends to go missing when the going gets tough. Probably why his name is being thrown up.What! have you watched him play?
Fisher is really good. Would be absolutely stoked if we got him.
That offer seems completely false to me. If we could get that - take it and run.
He doesn’t want to stay.No one is going to the PSD, last person to do that was Luke Ball all those years ago.
Us acting all tough about players doesn't do anything, they have all got to where they wanted to go.
That isn't how you inspire people to stay, by threatening them.
True, but other players on the fence about staying or going might see something like this and not be filled with enthusiasm. He doesn’t want to stay.
100%, but...It's a fine line between extracting the most possible out of a deal and being too cut-throat with players - if the perception is that we treat players like s**t then people won't want to come here.
No it doesn’t, but it says don’t take the piss out of the club. We will do anything to help you and work with you if you remain honest and integral. But it f you think this is a free lunch, think again.so by failing to get a deal done (and resorting to sending someone to PSD).. we would be letting players know that we can get deals done?
Nah, I understand his point of view. This is actually bizarre

We don’t need fence sitters.True, but other players on the fence about staying or going might see something like this and not be filled with enthusiasm.
The fear based are from Brisbane and Ah Chee that if they don't get what they want they will distabalise the current culture. Ah chee just played one AFL games this year I doubt any players will get affected by him.Nah, I understand his point of view.
It’s fear based and that’s okay.
But at some point you need to stand up and go this stops here!
The world will soon find out the facts that you had a player who didn’t play for you, got offered the world and they ran for the cash, kinda like a gold digger in that sense. The world sees through those types and would soon realise Brisbane let the player down, we simply stood up for ourselves and believed the player was worth more than what they offered after the fact they offered more to get his interest.
It says much more about them than it does us and a simple well written public speech by Cochrane would cement that and describe our culture! #bringbackthefireinyourbellyson
Well unfortunately our position we will have plenty that may look at the market. Do need to make sure we have people wanting to stay and feel like they are apart of something and not one based off of fear and demanded respect and loyalty. We don’t need fence sitters.
Nobody throwing their toys out, the toy decided that contract offered not good enough despise playing one AFL games this season.Well unfortunately our position we will have plenty that may look at the market. I may be an outlier in my thinking but publically stomping our feet and throwing our toys out of the pram isn't the way to go about it IMO.
Nah, Brisbane in that situation would be acting unethical, opportunistic if you will. If we just proceed to unbutton our pants for the 100th time expecting a new result is pretty much the definition of insanity. Don’t be afraid to change the algorithm, take your emotional hats off, change the circumstances to a business model (which it is). If the business is not financially viable, the way you have been conducting business will more than likely need addressing. In this instance the player ROI. We don’t train folks and sell them for unders and then blame the stables. In the past that may have been the case, but not anymore. We have world class facilities, the most assisted players with respect to player retention, amazing atmosphere and solid culture. We can’t blame the stables anymore. It’s how we negotiate, conduct business and balance our books moving forward. The fear based are from Brisbane and Ah Chee that if they don't get what they want they will distabalise the current culture.
