No leadership group.

Heppell captain
Merrett vice captain.
Disagree. Important for a lot of the playing group (especially the youngsters) to have established, on-field leaders they can look up to and model their game around. Heppell (and Merrett) are prone to missing games, too. Our squad looked lost last year, some of it due to a lack of on-field leadership at parts throughout the season.

Plus - I think you'll get more out of the players who are in the leadership group because they know they're who the team relies on.

Sure you could argue we haven't exactly capitalised on that in recent years; but there are too many other factors at play like poor coaching, cohesion, team/leadership selection etc to dismiss it.

You’re way off, champ. You also chose Devon Smith as your VC citing Merrett as injury prone.
Geez, a champing. Telltale sign of a putz.

Dev played every game in 2018. His knee required surgery within a few years; this was known before he was traded to us. I'd wager he plays most if not all games this year, "champ".
