Right right right, when there are people who doesn't agree with you, you get into the grammar nazi plus nit picky old hag mode. For one, this is big footy, get a grip, second i suggest you read the entire paragraph. For some reason the intelligence of people start to drop drastically when they see things they don't agree with and starts to focus on bits and pieces of the whole paragraph. Yes got to read the whole. Your year 8 level smart ass tactic aint going to work with adults, try to be some sometimes.
You had me until after the penultimate paragraph. Should have stopped whilst you were ahead.

If you go past the grammar, which I’m sure even you WW can do, if not, get help, then some of what RR said is actually true. Cannington and his twin Cunnington have been pretty average as far as centre bounces go. Ziebs is actually better in the forward than the midfield and we do actually need at least 4 inside mids. Hopefully with shoulder repairs LDU becomes one.
So.. if you go past his illiteracy RR makes some valid comments.

One of the main reasons our season started to to turn around was because Ziebell was put back into the middle. Cunnington is third in the comp for total clearances and average clearances.

Yeah...nah.
Ziebs is too slow or hard for the midfield, that’s why they moved him.
Cunnington is a hard nut and great for clearances but too stupid to follow set plays for centre bounce clearances.

So let me get this straight - Our centre bounce 3 should be Anderson, Simpkin, ldu, thomas (isn't that 4?). Who is our ruckman??

Who is Cannington? and Larked?

And 3 days ago you wanted Ziebell traded as another useless player (ala Cannington) but now he is devastating???

Outstanding.
I reckon he forgot to put Zurharrrr in there to make 5. He's our rickman isn't he?

What is it suddenly with this forum critiquing the grammar and format of articles and posts rather than the content.
Seriously guys you’re posting on a Big Footy, get a grip.
I actually reckon the article is well written, just don’t necessarily agree with the conclusions drawn.
Firstly, it is 'Big Footy,' not 'a Big Footy!'

Secondly, critiquing the grammar and format of articles and posts isn't a sudden trend. Rather, it is a long-standing Big Footy tradition. As is jumping from a great height on new posters who dare to critique long-standing traditions. ;)

Finally, your last sentence is a run-on sentence in which two independent clauses are connected incorrectly. I think you meant to say:

'I actually reckon the article is well written. I just don’t necessarily agree with the conclusions drawn.'

Well done, by the way, in using 'well written' as the compound modifier at the end of that clause sentence, however, I think your point would have been better made had you used 'well-written,' thus ensuring congruity between the crap grammar and the crap content.

There was only one paragraph and therefore no penultimate paragraph at all. On second thoughts....now I agree with your post. Carry on!

Wow, your Mum must be so proud, or embarrassed.

Nah, he’s playing for Geelong next year.
I am with you there Seriously. I think a few on here do get a bit carried away with a bit of bad grammar. I think the context as you say is a lot more important than a missed full stop or a word spelt wrong. As you say we are writing on a footy forum not for the Oxford. I have been picked up a few times on miss spelt words its not like the words where spelt incorrectly on purpose and most posters know what you mean even if a word or 2 is not correct.

Look he's a maths teacher so I'm sure he knows more about numbers than you do.

Normally by those that can’t contribute any other way.

The turn around was a small sample of games, not enough to be considered anything definitive. Ziebell will never stand up as a full time midfielder, but if he is used sparingly to smash open a contest then yes he is effective. Same with cunnington, he is much more useful as a general stoppage player than at center ball ups. Our philosophy must change in regards how we see midfield, we need to look beyond inside and outside. There is no such thing as an inside because everyone is expected to make a contest for ball and then run off and spread.

Exactly like I said, no capacity to contribute any other way.
I reckon 66 of MM posts have been irrelevant.

Thanks for counting didn't know!

To write the post I did and not put a spelling mistake in it would have been pointless. Like you said 66.
