I would love Foghorn Leghorn, his first season was impressive and we saw his 5 goals against the eagles a few weeks back. Doesn’t mind crashing a pack and throwing his weight around. Fwd line isn’t something we are lacking in atm but if we made room for him I wouldn’t complain. I think if he develops correctly he could be a Jon Brown type.

Shaw loves the campaigners and he is one of them.

Ahhhhh no... not worth the kitchen sink and the whole kitchen.. have a look at his stats, he doesnt perform well against top teams, yeah, he kicked 5 against west coke at the scg, barrass wasnt playing that day and he got away.. im not sold on papley, I would if it wasnt going to cost us the bank.. tbh, straight swap wood for papley (if s**t mow goes there, we have no bargaining power) and I’d rather Cerra for Wood anyway.. or we keep wood, fu** the trade games and hit the draft and look for a small forward that can impact in his first year.. not that theres much in the draft outside the top 5.

Im more interested in targetting 20-22 players and lynching them from their clubs before they are settled and loyal..

crikey DuckYeah, here I am agreeing with you again, no way is a small forward worth our first, crikey even when LT was at his best we would not have got a first-rounder, and their age comparative stats favour Papley ever so slightly

Barrass, mcgovern and their general are the best defence in the comp, their defence is almost impenetrable when all three big men are on song, they fill space and read play like magicians.. with two of their 3 best defenders out, it left a gaping hole where papley got through, IIRC he got on the end of some clearance entries that snagged him a few goals too.. im not convinced

Just read that Laird could be available for a top 10 pick, and Fogarty might be available. I'd love them too in our team.

Laird or Fogarty would be huge

Nice shout. He's a great player. I'd probably take McGovern ahead of him though.

I think the best thing about the Eagles' defence though is the collective. They complement each other and know exactly what they're supposed to be doing at any point in the game. They must know each other's games inside out.

I have the same sense as you, but still holding out hope. My hopes for that port player alluded to earlier aren’t much higher. Just burned too many times.

Well, I really want Laird but I am not adverse to Jones.

As much as ppl on here will say he is a butcher, he still has toe and gains more territory, ball and score involvements than Atley or Pittard.

Bit of a Hall pick IMO - could suit us, particularly at the dome.
