The current draft order is available in the pinned thread, here:

In accordance with board rules, phantom drafts which do not fulfil the requirements of a full first round using the current draft order (at time of posting), and preferably with a bit of explanation and willingness to explain your decisions, may also be merged into this thread.

  1. Adelaide
  2. North Melbourne
  3. Sydney
  4. Hawthorn

Big slide for Thilthorpe! With North going into a hard rebuild I reckon now would be the time for them to pick up the slower developing keys and Thilthorpe makes the most sense to me being able to fill the hole left by Ben Brown and potentially Goldy down the track. It's not completely needs based either, he seems like one of the safer bets out of this years draft purely based on exposed form against mature bodies.

Hollands just seems like too high of a risk to go in those first few picks. ACL after a 2019 that didn't see a whole lot of development coupled with the fact that
outside players don't always handle the step up to top level footy that well would be enough to put me off as long as kids like Phillips are still on the board.

Thilthorpe could honestly go anywhere. Could be anything but get a Josh Fraser vibe about him. Not a bad pick. If Roos pick him would not be surprised. Or swans for that matter.

Hollands may actually benefit from no football and see his stock stay the same due to lack of exposure. Based on what I have seen he is a balance mid/HFF that is more damaging 9n outside but can get his own ball.

Interesting Thilthorpe and Hollands could easily flip draft position. Will wait out for post trade period and hopefully games to redo.

I've heard that the Saints are keen on O'Driscoll, but as you have listed, will go earlier. Are also keen on Carroll too. I hope they pick up Ford, just by his highlight reel, as I am no expert.

15. Fremantle - Jack Carroll - Best available local talent
16. Collingwood - Reef McInnes (bid matched)
17. GWS - Caleb Poulter - Inside mid with huge upside
18. GWS - Kaine Baldwin - Him or Callow. Extra tall forward for GWS
19. Collingwood - Eddie Ford - X factor inside 50 and possible midfield development. Wouldn't mind Brayden Cook here either
20. Richmond - Heath Chapman - linking defender post Houli

21. Melbourne - Oliver Henry - Think Melbourne can be attracted to his versatility here.
22. Sydney - Errol Gulden (bid matched)
23. Melbourne - Brayden Cook - High x factor mid/ fwd who may fill what they've missed in Isaac Smith and Tom Phillips.
24. GWS - Zac Dumesny - Ball user from the back line, had hoped for a tall back but there's no one who stands out
25. St. Kilda - Tom Powell - IM with accumulating attributes, natural finder of the ball

Rucks aren’t a massive need for the Lions passing on Eddie Ford would be very disappointing

Not first priority i wouldn't think either but has to be considered at some point I think Blue. Really you're only listed rucks are Oscar and Archie.

Think Samson Ryan from the Academy as a rookie pick wouldn't be out of the question also.

Some interesting takes in here for sure, I think it works out really well for us. Haven't heard or seen much on Max Heath- this was the year I was going to get more into junior footy in Melb

Does anyone here have any info on him? I do like the idea of us taking a ruck where possible.
This draft outcome would be one I'd be really happy with- but taking Heath when Ford is on the board is an odd one to me.
Max Heath is a kid with some grunt. The upside is that he can cover the ground and is an imposing mark. Good rucks are hard to come by, 203cm impact players don’t come along very often.

Agree with Ryan, only thing is the AFL has just announced teams only have to take 1 player this year down from three so we might not see many more delistings

We have already elevated Fullarton a ruck/fwd we also traded in Daniher who has no problem playing ruck as well as Ballendan ruck isn’t a serious need

Like Trew’s accumulation stats and competitiveness. He would suit our needs in the midfield. Heard his as tough as nails!
