He really ever give it up?
He gave up the playcalling his 2nd last year in Green Bay and then changed his mind late in the season and said he will never give it up again.

well till the day he signed on as the Dallas HC

Why did the refs call that a catch?
Too many plays blown dead early last season that would of been turnovers. I hope they have been told to let bang bang plays go and have replay sort it out.

but even live it didnt look close to a catch and control.

Aldon Smith has been surprisingly good for a dude who hasn't played a game in 5 years - 11 tkls, 1 sack, 2 TFL so far o_O
Who is going to be the first NFL broadcaster to say he hasnt played in 5 years because of a "hiccup"

What do people think of the fair catch rule? How many years has it been in?

I’m not a fan. I watch nfl for big plays. Knowing that every punt is a dead play is kinda a let down to me.
about 100 years. its for player safety. the first XFL had no fair catch and it was ... something

how did I think it came in in the 90’s lol

my memory of the 90’s nfl is a bit different lol. Maybe time playing tricks on me.

I would be keen to see them swap fair catch for a rule that offers the catcher more blocking protection from big hits
