The non-Vic teams have already played 3 of the 5 other non-Vic teams, and will have played all 5 by the end of R6.

The only viable solution now is to get the Vic teams out of Victoria, and keep them out until the state has CV-19 back under control.
You can't have the Vic players away from home for potentially the rest of the season.

There's no rule that says every team has to play each other. Just split into conferences (which will be an 8-team and a 10-team conference), reset the remaining fixtures as best you can so that every team within the conference plays each other a reasonably even amount of times, then put in place a finals series of the top 4 of each conference hoping that by then, we can open up again.

And if we can't open up for finals, just have a premiership each conference, with a "world series" to be played at a later date - maybe preseason for 2021.

Wrong. All non-Vic clubs will have to go to Victoria and remain there for the rest of the season.
The best solution is to move all 18 teams to a hub in Geelong.

Has anyone explained why Frank Costa is now in charge of the ”draw” (in addition to under the table payments to his “boys”)?

The most enjoyable part of 2020 has been watching the AFL and the Vic media ****suckers try to justify their VFL bias. Before the restart I recall Matthew Richardson explaining that it would be inhumane for the Victorian based players to be forced to separate from their wives/partners/family but not a single word regarding the SA and WA teams moving to a hub in Queensland. It will be nice and sunny for them (how’s that working?) but they can’t demand a coffee machine or have a hit of golf.

****ing lol. So McKenna is forced into isolation and the AFL conveniently decide he can serve his suspension concurrently.

Absolute bullshit again by the AFL. Given he was never allowed to play in isolation it should have been a 1 match suspension after that point.

This league is a total joke

Are you surprised? The AFL found the Dons player's had no case to answer with the Supps saga.

The proirity for the AFL is to fulfill the broadcast rights, everything else doesn't rate.

What a predictable joke the VFL are. The old you need to isolate, so your suspension is at the same time. No mention in the article about the 2 open houses he allegedly went to in addition to going to a family members place

Irish Bomber free to play despite COVID breach - https://www.afl.com.au/news/459324

Where is Caro's outrage?

So both Port and the Crows will need to quarantine for 2 weeks back in SA after going to Melbourne.

So rather than sending a bunch of Victorian teams to hubs in SA, WA and NSW (and even NT), quarantine and be able to play out the rest of the year (in front of crowds as well) they will instead force delays all over the joint by trying to bring teams in to play a single game in Melbourne?

Do you think Port would be filthy after Wines got suspended for a game? They should be livid. What he did wasn't even in the same ball park.

Meanwhile, surely Stengle's suspension was also used up during our quarantine period??

Every club should be filthy McKenna has got off scot free from this incident.

And yet not one word from our club leaders

I doubt it. I think if we go at all, we'll be staying. Travelling in and out of Victoria is surely off the table. 8 teams hubbed in the covid capital of Oz or 10 teams hubbed where it's all but eliminated.

We could mount that argument but won't because decisions aren't geared to peak footy, they're geared to peak corporate.

Ch7 just reported pressure is on NSW to shut the Vic border. Pretty soon the rest of Australia will be COVID free with Crowds allowed to the footy. But the AFL will still insist crowdless footy to be played in Melbourne with our teams forced to play in Victoria and then into quarantine to come home. Can they be more VFL focused?

How long before they realise even the NRL is laughing at them

Why?

You think he is the main reason we are bottom...
He'll be the reason we stay bottom. Some of his interviews are train wrecks like our footy. He's a stockbroker who has done some line coaching. He's not a natural leader or educator or motivator. He studies numbers, not people. We needed an experienced competent coach. We will pay

Did you not count the NSW sides - a total of 8 non-Vic sides?
